The PGA Tour is back in full swing at the Tournament of Champions and there are some excellent prop bets available at the sportsbook.
There is great value in tournament winner markets for the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Tony Finau, but we’re looking at the best prop bet value for markets like first-round leader and top 10.
Let’s check the latest Golf odds, stats, injury reports, and Golf lines for PGA Tour. We’ve plenty of Golf betting odds for you to consider.
Starting the Year Strong
Collin Morikawa didn’t have the best end to his 2022, but the PGA Tour flusher could put that all behind him at the Tournament of Champions at Kapalua.
The American hasn’t won since taking out the 2021 Open Championship, so he went the year without winning. However, that was mostly because of putting issues and we think he has solved them.
“This year’s been fairly stressful, a little frustrating at the same time,” Morikawa said in November. “I think some guys are definitely taking it easy and I’ve kind of ramped it up just trying to kind of figure things out. I want to finish this fall with the best foot forward as possible. That’s why I come to these tournaments, to come out here and play well and hopefully win.”
The five-time PGA Tour winner, including two majors, is classy at best and we think he’s being disrespected with golf odds. He’s paying +2000 to be the first-round leader and that’s worth snapping up.
He’s a player who typically gets off to a fast start and has something to prove this week. His performance for sixth at the Hero World Challenge was a step in the right direction and we’re happy with his odds.
- Pick: 1st Round Leader Collin Morikawa +2000
Great Scot!
Adam Scott isn’t the player on every bettor’s lips, but the Australian can’t be overlooked in top 10 markets.
He could continue the tradition of Australians winning the Tournament of Champions, including Geoff Ogilvy and Cameron Smith last year.
Scott comes off a second-place finish in the Australian Open, so he’s playing well and is used to playing courses like Kapalua, which is a massive bonus.
“I want to fulfill my dreams and goals as a player and time is less on my side now,” Scott said.
“I have to do everything I can to make sure I give myself the best chance. I still haven’t achieved all the things I want to achieve in my own career.”
Finishing 25th in the Tour Championship should give him confidence and bettors get +225 for Scott to finish in the top 10, which is excellent shopping with golf betting markets.
- Pick: Adam Scott Top 10 +225
Big Guns vs the Field
The big guns will be tough to beat in Hawaii and the +120 for five of the best players in the world is tough to turn down.
They include Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, and Patrick Cantlay. Having those five players on your ticket is a relatively safe bet, so there is good value with Las Vegas golf lines.
The numbers edge is with the field, but the -155 is too short to entertain, and we expect Thomas and Scheffler to be fighting out the finish, so it’s a good saver bet if you’re backing them in tournament winner markets.
Thomas is a two-time winner of the Tournament of Champions and Rahm made a strong case for being the best player in the world late last year.
Therefore, include the +120 in your golf parlays.
- Pick: Big Guns +120
