PGA TOUR Championship Props: The Fitzpatrick Payoff

PGA Tour Season Concludes

TOUR Championship odds for prop markets are out for the final tournament of the FedEx Cup playoffs at East Lake this week.

Because of the limited field of only 30, prop betting markets look a little different at the sportsbook. However, there is plenty of value with top country markets, including Matthew Fitzpatrick for top Englishman.

Fitpatrick Fitting In

TOUR Championship betting is throwing an excellent line for bettors. Fitzpatrick is a +130 chance to beat Tommy Fleetwood and Tyrrell Hatton for top Englishman.

We respect Fleetwood’s ability, but Fitzpatrick not only comes off a top performance at the BMW Championship, but he’s also a major winner, which holds of merit.

The 2022 U.S. Open winner hadn’t been driving the ball well, but he usually finds a quick remedy, which he found last week.

Yeah, it’s disappointing. It’s disappointing, there’s no doubt about it,” Fitzpatrick said. “There’s not much to add to it. It’s disappointing. I wanted it to be better. I felt like U.S. Open was successful, Masters was successful, particularly U.S. Open with the way I drove the ball.”

Fitzpatrick has the advantage of starting one shot clear of Fleetwood and four clear of Hatton, so this wager is a no-brainer.

We thought Fitzpatrick would be paying around -150 to be the top British, so take the value available.

Pick: Top British – Matthew Fitzpatrick (+115)

Scheffler To Lead Americans

Despite thinking Scottie Scheffler gets run down by Rory McIlroy for the TOUR Championship title, he should finish ahead of the Americans.

The world number one starts the tournament as the firm favorite, given his two-shot lead over Viktor Hovland, and the immediate chasers are from Denmark, Northern Ireland, and Spain.

Therefore, Scheffler could have enough in the tank to beat his countrymen. He’s a -180 hope to beat the likes of Patrick Cantlay and Max Homa, which is a fair price given his tournament odds of +130.

If he shoots anywhere close to -4 in the opening round, bettors should expect his live betting odds to firm to around -300 for top American. He could put a huge space on his rivals, so Thursday’s round is crucial.

Bettors could also feature Scheffler in parlays. The sportsbook has a Big 3 vs the Field option, where Scheffler, Hovland, and McIlroy are paying -300 to beat the rest of the field.

The only danger to that is Jon Rahm winning, but it’s a relatively safe bet to include in selections.

Pick: Top American – Scottie Scheffler (-200)

Kim To Dominate the World

We have nothing but praise for Tom Kim, who is our best bet to top the Rest of the World betting market.

The young South Korean closed with a -7 score on Sunday in the BMW Championship, so he should be brimming full of confidence heading to East Lake.

He is on the second line of betting behind Sungjae Im, who has more experience, but Kim is already a two-time PGA Tour winner, and he’s a er to follow.

We love his maturity on and off the course, which is rarely seen in the professional ranks.

“Compared with last year, I’ve changed so much, whether it’s my mindset during a tournament or the way I approach the game,” Kim said. “I am constantly surrounded by great players, people who have won major titles. I’ve been getting advice from them, and I can’t help but keep maturing.”

Sport betting markets have him at +350 to beat the likes of Im, Corey Connors, Si Woo Kim, and Jason Day.

It’s a value price for one of the most exciting ers on the PGA Tour, who we’re picking to have a better 2024.

Pick: Top Rest of the World – Tom Kim (+350)
