Rahm Best Bet to Claim BMW Championship

Only 50 Players Remain in FedEx Title Chase

BMW Championship odds are out for the second event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which are led by Spain’s Jon Rahm.

Rory McIroy is the current favorite with BMW Championship lines, but Rahm is a former winner of the BMW Championship and he wants to keep his top ranking heading to East Lake.

There is plenty of value with the sportsbook, and with only 50 players in the field, chances of winning increase.

Rahm Ready to Win

BMW Championship betting has Rahm at +850, which is a generous price considering he won the tournament in 2020.

One of the world’s best players, Rahm has won six times since, including the 2023 Masters, so he can’t be overlooked against a limited field.

He didn’t play his best last week, and although we backed him with sport betting markets, we’re not prepared to jump off his back just yet.

He plays much better at Olympia Fields, and he looks to end the playoffs how he started it.

“The point of coming to the playoffs is to give yourself the best chance to get to East Lake on the number one spot,” Rahm said. “I’ve done a pretty good job so far. Hopefully, this week I can have a good performance like I did last time, earn it, clinch it and give myself the best shot for the win. It’s been a great year so far, so hopefully, I can end it off the way I started it.”

Rahm has yet to win the FedEx Cup, but he has been close and a win at the BMW Championship would secure him the top spot heading into the TOUR Championship.

There is plenty to play for, and even if he doesn’t play well in the opening round, take Rahm with live betting markets.

Needing More from Morikawa

One of the more disappointing players this year has been Collin Morikawa.

The two-time major championship winner (2020 PGA Championship, 2021 Open Championship) hasn’t won in two years, which is a concern.

However, the two-time PGA Tour winner is still one of the best ball strikers, and we’re giving him the benefit of the doubt.

He finished T13 at the St. Jude Championship, so the encouraging signs are there and the 26-year-old only needs to make some putts to be competitive.

Online betting markets have Morikawa at +2500, so he hasn’t been completely overlooked by bookmakers. We think that’s a good price, and we’re happy to take a slight risk with the talented golfing star.

Pick: Collin Morikawa (+2500)

In Love with Glover

It’s hard to bet against Lucas Glover after winning consecutive PGA Tour tournaments, including last week.

The journeyman has rediscovered his best form, mostly thanks to changing putters, and it’s paying off.

Glover defeated Patrick Cantlay in a playoff last week, and although there were some nervous moments, he showed his grit and determination to get it done.

Winning in three consecutive weeks is tough, especially against some of the world’s best golfers, but never leave out the hot player.

His confidence levels are through the roof and bettors get +4500, which is a better price than many bookmakers are offering.

Pick: Lucas Glover (+4500)

Korean Youngster Eyes Win

We still can’t believe Tom Kim is only 21. He plays well beyond his years, and he has already achieved more than most do in their entire career.

The young South Korean finished T2 at the Open Championship recently and he followed it up with a tidy finish last week, so he’s playing well.

He didn’t have a great Sunday at the St. Jude Championship, but his play on the first three days was excellent.

Bookmakers have Kim at +3500, which is great shopping. In a field of only 50, we rated him around +2600, so take the value available with BMW Championship betting markets.

Pick: Tom Kim (+3500)
