Scandinavians Headline Puntacana Championship Picks

The Corales Puntacana Championship tees off this week and it’s two Scandivanians headlining golf odds.

Alex Noren and Nicolai Hojgaard are the players bettors want, and after a great Masters performance, Hojgaard could firm into favoritism.

Ready for the Next Level

Hojgaard is only 23 years old, but he’s an accomplished golfer on the DP World Tour.

He’s yet to show his prowess on the PGA Tour, but he played excellently at Augusta National last week, finishing T16.

It was a tough final round when shooting +4, but he was right in the mix at one stage of the Masters and that’s an excellent form guide.

The Danish player, who represented Europe at the Ryder Cup, is a good bet at +1400 at our sportsbook, and we can’t leave him out of selections.

All he needs to do is keep his current form going, and the three-time European Tour winner, including the DP World Tour Championships, could realize his dream.

Winning the DP Championships when beating Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Wallace by two shots was incredible. That’s excellent form, and it’s only a matter of time before he wins in America.

Support for Noren

It always pays to keep tabs on sport betting markets, and there has been solid support for Noren.

The experienced 41-year-old is the current +1200 favorite in golf betting lines, and it’s interesting to see him at the top of the market.

He’s a quality 10-time European Tour winner but, having not won since 2018, the pressure is on Noren to win these easier events.

Most of the world’s best players are playing at the RBC Heritage, and he could take advantage of the weaker field at Corales Golf Club this week.

He’s one of our PGA best bets for the tournament, so don’t shy away from betting on the favorite.

Comeback Continues for Berger

It has been a tough road back to full fitness for Daniel Berger, who was winning tournaments regularly before his injury.

He’s a four-time PGA Tour winner, and he helped Team USA win the 2021 Ryder Cup, so the class is there.

He won the FedEx St. Jude twice, the Charles Schwab Challenge, and AT&T Pebble Beach. Those are three tough tournaments, so he enters our golf picks for the Corales Puntacana Championship.

It’s all about getting confidence for the American, and there is solid value with his +4000 odds. That’s a great price for someone with four PGA Tour victories, so he can’t be overlooked against a relatively inexperienced field when it comes to winning on the PGA Tour.

Martin Finding Form

Ben Martin finished T7 at the Valero Texas Open, and we’re happy with his betting online odds of +3000.

The 36-year-old is a PGA Tour winner, and although it came all the way back in 2014, he could take advantage of this field.

He won the 2014 Shriners when beating Kevin Streelman by two strokes. That was a good performance 10 years ago, and although it has been a long time between drinks, he could cause an upset.

The Puntacana Championship is there for the taking, so take the odds available.
