Tee to Green: Players Championship Props
Strike Quick in the First Round
It wouldn’t be BetUS golf picks without including some Players Championship props in the mix, including first-round top 10.
Bettors can cash in on Thursday when backing first-round markets, so there is plenty of value to be snapped up with the sportsbook.

There is a plethora of Players Championship props available throughout the week, and we look at the best available.
First Round Top 10
Rory McIlroy was disappointed with his first round at Bay Hill last week, so expect the former champion to come out firing.
The Northern Irishman has firmed considerably in tournament winner markets, so there is plenty of confidence for the former world No. 1.
Given his experience at TPC Sawgrass, we expect him to be in the top 10 after the opening round. Golf lines have McIlroy at +320 to be in the top 10, so we can’t turn down those odds.
Max Homa is our top pick to win The Players Championship, so it’s only right that we back him to be in the top 10 after Thursday’s round.
The American is nearing a big win after playing well in 2023, and he often starts his tournaments with a low first round.
His golf odds this week are +450, so we’re including him alongside McIlroy.
- Pick: McIlroy (+320) and Homa (+450)
Top Australian
There are plenty of nationality markets at The Players, but the best value comes in the Top Australian market.
We love the chances of former No. 1 Jason Day, who is a past winner at Sawgrass, and he’s hitting top form approaching the tournament.
The likable Aussie has battled injuries since reaching the peak of world golf, but despite those ailments, he finished T10 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T9 at the Genesis Open.
Golf news reported that Day is healthy and ready to fire.
“Working my way back inside the top 50, it’s obviously a really great thing. I’ve enjoyed the journey thus far”, said the world No.43. “With the recent form I feel encouraged with the things that I’m working on knowing they’re showing a lot of good signs. I just have to keep pushing those little things and hopefully just turns into good form”.
“Do I feel like ‘I’m a contender right now? I feel like I can play well and I can win, but to be able to walk in there and confidently say I can win is a different story”.
- Pick: Jason Day (+145)
Hole-in-One
Bettors love a 50/50 bet every now and then, so hole-in-one markets could attract some attention.
Sports betting markets have odds of -225 for a hole-in-one to be made at 2023 Players, which is a touch too short for our liking.
There were two aces made in the 2022 event, by Viktor Hovland and Shane Lowry, but with only nine made in the last 15 years, we’re happy taking “No” at +175.
That’s a value price for someone not to score an ace, so include it in your Players Championship bets.
- Pick: No (+175)
Fleetwood to Miss Cut
Tommy Fleetwood is a golfer we want to see win on the PGA Tour, but the Englishman just isn’t getting it done.
He continues to disappoint and we’re finding it tough to turn down the +135 odds for the 32-year-old to miss the cut.
He narrowly made the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week. He missed the cut at the Phoenix Open, and we don’t think TPC Sawgrass is too much different in terms of atmosphere.
If we have to pick a player who is slightly overrated, Fleetwood stands out. So sorry, Tommy, we hope you miss the cut for the sake of our wager.
- Pick: Tommy Fleetwood (+135)
