It might be an invitational event, but we’re happy to finally see a field worth crowing about as the Hero World Challenge tees off this week.
Tiger Woods, the tournament host, pulled out on Monday due to injury. It has taken some of the spice away from the tournament, but it’s still an excellent golf betting field.
Jon Rahm headlines the market at +500 and he believes he should be the top-ranked golfer in the world, so he could go a step closer to Rory McIlroy’s title.
Let’s check the latest Golf odds, stats, injury reports, and Golf lines for Hero World Challenge. We’ve plenty of Golf betting odds for you to consider.

Rahm to Ram Through Victory
Rahm was critical of the world rankings system and he believes he should be the top-ranked golfer after his recent form.
The 28-year-old Spaniard claimed to be the best golfer in the world after winning the DP World Tour Championship in spectacular form, beating the likes of McIlroy.
“Because of Covid, I never got a chance to defend my 2019 title,” Rahm told Golf.com. “And even though I decided not to come last year, I came with the mentality that, well, nobody beat me in the last two years, so they are going to have to beat me again.
“I’m as complete a golfer as I feel like I’ve ever been, and hopefully I can continue on that path.”
Despite not playing frequently, Rahm has been in great shape lately. Prior to placing fourth in the CJ Cup, he won the Open de Espana in October. He has two victories and a fourth from his last three tournaments, so there is no reason to suggest he can’t win the Hero World Challenge against a limited field.
The sportsbook has him at +500 and we’re not leaving those odds off our ticket.
- Pick: Jon Rahm +500

Kim to Pull Off Feat
Tom Kim has a cult following, and although his one PGA Tour win came against a moderate field, he clearly has game.
There is no reason why the charming South Korean, who took out the Shriners earlier this year, can’t win the Hero World Challenge. He showed world-class form during the President’s Cup and he’s a confident young man.
The 20-year-old is among the top 10 players on the PGA Tour in terms of strokes gained from the tee to the green, approaching the green and overall strokes gained. That’s fantastic and it should lead to more victories.
Kim is a value bet at +2000 in Hero World Challenge betting markets. We expect to see him near the top of the leaderboard and he should get plenty of air time.
- Pick: Tom Kim +2000
Finau in Top Form
Tony Finau is one of the most popular golfers in the world, so it’s hardly surprising that his odds have firmed up significantly this week.
The American moved significantly in the Hero World Challenge odds markets after opening at +1400. He’s now paying +1000 with golf odds and that’s on the back of some stellar form on the PGA Tour.
He won the Houston Open last time on the course, which followed back-to-back victories in the 3M Open and Rocket Mortgage Classic in July.
“I’ve always had belief, but confidence when you win is contagious,” Finau said. “I’m starting to put together a full-package game.”
The relaxed golfer is always a winning chance no matter how strong the field. We don’t put him on the same level as Rahm, but he can shoot low numbers and that’s a handy skill to have.
- Pick: Tony Finau +1000
