U.S. Open Picks, Predictions and Prop Bets, 6/12: Get Value With DeChambeau (+650)

U.S. Open golf odds have Scottie Scheffler favored to win at Oakmont this week, but there is better value than backing him at +230.
I look at four of the best bets for the third golfing major of 2025.
Top 4 U. S. Open Picks
1. Bryson DeChambeau (+650)
Money has come for defending champion Bryon DeChambeau to win. The LIV player was +900 a few weeks ago and now he has firmed into +650 with the latest golf odds.
It’s still a fair price for the American, who went close to winning the Masters before also playing well at the PGA Championship. He’s a big-time player and he is long enough to push Oakmont to its limits.
You need to be accurate off the tee, and although most people think the longer hitters must be the least accurate, DeChambeau is a straight hitter. He often drives it past the trouble, and with Oakmont playing exceptionally long, he could dominate.
2. Xander Schauffele (+2000)
It wasn’t long ago when bettors would have to take around +800 for Xander Schauffele to win a major, so I’m jumping on his odds.
Schauffler hasn’t been at his brilliant best since resuming from an injury, but he has still been lurking around the top 25, and he’s good enough to include in golf prop bets, especially at the generous +2000 odds.
The two-time major winner has experience that most in the field don’t have, and he’s straight enough to keep the ball in the fairways. He’s also sneaky long, so I expect Schauffler to post a good finish.
3. Shane Lowry (+3300)
Shane Lowry can be a “gunna” because he’s going to win many PGA Tour events, but he always seems to fall short.
He hasn’t won on the PGA Tour as a solo player since the 2019 Open Championship, which is played in Europe, so it doesn’t count. However, Lowry could turn his run of close finishes into a win this week.
My golf betting picks are all about finding value, so getting +3300 for a player with major-winning experience is tough to overlook. He’s also an in-form golfer, and I priced him at around +2500.
I expect one Irishman to play well at Oakmont, and with Rory McIlroy having some problems on and off the course, according to the latest golf news, Lowry is my man.
4. Ryan Fox (+9000)
The Kiwi golfer won his second PGA Tour tournament from his last four starts last week when taking out the RBC Canadian Open, so he’s worth a shout at the U.S. Open.
Fox survived a four-hole playoff with Sam Burns, and he won the tournament with an epic shot into the 18th hole to set up an easy two-putt par. It was a great way to win, and he’s old enough to not let it affect him.
Getting +9000 for the most recent winner is good shopping, so I’m including the New Zealander in my golf picks.
