Big names on the PGA Tour hit Detroit and the $8.4 million Rocket Mortgage Classic, the roster including the 3M Open winner, Tony Finau.
However, we have our eyes on three golfers all overdue to win on the Tour. Bettors are getting excellent value in the markets.
With the race for the FedEx Cup also ongoing, the Rocket Mortgage Classic is an important tournament to win.

Where There’s a Will…
Will Zalatoris has yet to win on the PGA Tour. He’s finished second in three majors, including the 2022 PGA Championship and U.S. Open.
With the American in red-hot form, it’s only a matter of time before he records a win. We are hoping it’s now, as the +1600 odds are juicy and we have full pockets after correctly tabbing Tony Finau to win the 3M Open.
Despite having only one Korn Ferry Tour win to his name, Zalatoris is currently one of the better players in the world. We are riding with until he wins. The chase theory often pays when betting on golf, and Zalatoris is a golfer worth backing.
There’s a fair amount of pressure on Zalatoris to deliver the goods. He’s not getting down on himself for his string of near misses recently.
“We’re sitting here talking about me not winning a major,” Zalatoris told Golf Channel.
“I’ve been on the PGA Tour for 20 months. It’s a pretty good spot to be in. It’s something that has fueled my fire, for sure and I know that, eventually, I’m going to get one one day.
We’ve been this close. We’re talking about me having [three] runners-up in majors here. I think I’ll take that résumé, but obviously, I’d like to replace some of the silver medals with some gold medals.”
Pick: Will Zalatoris +1600
Kisner Closing In
Kevin Kisner is a four-time PGA Tour winner, and we like the value with his odds at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
The 38-year-old won the 2021 Wyndham Championship, and has played well since, without winning. We are thinking he’s due another win.
He finished T21 at the Open Championship at St. Andrews, and that should give him sufficient confidence to play well at Detroit.
He finished T6 at the Travelers Championship last month, so the signs are there. Being one of the best putters in the world comes with its advantages.
Kisner is almost automatic when he’s anywhere near the hole, so as long as he’s striking the ball well, the he should be in contention to win. Priced at +3500, that’s an exceptional value for this golfer.
Pick: Kevin Kisner +3500
Chase Theory and Tringale
Bettors are pulling out their hair with the thought of Cameron Tringale for the millionth time, but hear us out.
Tringale has been backed and beaten many times throughout his career, often falling short. However, we think he’ll eventually win a solo tournament on the Tour, and we want to be profiting when he does.
Tringale had been in good form after posting a T6 finish at the Scottish Open before making the cut at the Open Championship. Playing poorly last week suggested he could’ve wanted time off following a tough schedule.
With his odds hovering at +4000, that has drawn us back in. Backing Tringale is always a treacherous proposition, but he’ll pay off loyal bettors sooner rather than later, so…
