Team golf is back in action with the 2024 Presidents Cup, where Team USA is expected to prevail for the 10th consecutive time.
The internationals haven’t won since 1998 in Melbourne, Australia, and they are +240 betting underdogs with Presidents Cup futures to win.
The Royal Montreal Golf Club hosts the tournament, which tees off on Sept. 24.

Taking Short Odds for Team USA
Betting against Team USA in the Presidents Cup has been akin to throwing away money, and we can’t see this talented team losing.
Unlike the Ryder Cup, which is much more competitive, the Presidents Cup often struggles to be competitive, and the Internationals aren’t helped by many of their good players competing on the LIV Tour.
There will be no Cameron Smith or Joaquin Niemann, and that means the International team is severely weakened. It adds weight to backing USA at -250 odds, which is a fair price from our BetUS sportsbook.

Stacked with some of the best players in the world, including Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa, it’s tough to look past the favorites.
Playing in Canada isn’t exactly playing on the road, so it’s not a big benefit to the Internationals to have the event held in Canada.
There has been some criticism of leaving out Justin Thomas, who is horribly out of form, and American team captain Jim Furyk had to defend the decision.
“Just trying to put the puzzle pieces together,” Furyk said, calling Thomas a “tough omission”.
The team is stronger without Thomas, and bettors should be confident in including the -250 odds in golf parlay picks.

Value Prop Bet for Scottie Scheffler
Scheffler is the main man for the Americans, and he’s the current favorite with golf odds to be the top Team USA points scorer.
The world No. 1 and recent FedEx Cup winner is a +425 favorite to come away with the most points, and there are two reasons for that. The first is obvious – he’s their best player, but he’ll also play more matches than the likes of Tony Finau and other captain’s picks.
We can’t see Scheffler taking a match off, and although he’s expected to play the better International players, he’s likely to face either Hideki Matsuyama or Sung-Jae Im in the singles, and he would be a favorite to win both.
It has been a long year for the American, but he hasn’t played too much golf. The new format on the PGA Tour means the best players play less, and although he’s had a child, been to jail (briefly) and won his second Masters, he will want to cap it off with a team win.
We’re comfortable taking the +425 for Scheffler to score the most points for Team USA, and he’s unlikely to have a shocker.
Experience Vital for Adam Scott
We like Adam Scott to top score for the Internationals, and the Australian comes with a stack of experience.
The 44-year-old finished T4 at the TOUR Championship, so he enters the Presidents Cup with plenty of confidence and momentum. Scott also has loads of experience playing the Presidents Cup, so there are many reasons to follow him.
Golf betting odds have Scott at +750 to top score for the International team, which is great shopping. South Korea’s Im is the favorite at +550, but he will have to play against better players than Scott, who is an excellent team golfer.
Scott plays well in this format and he’ll likely be paired with fellow Australians Jason Day and Min Woo Lee. Much like Scheffler, Scott could lead by example.
