The post-position draw for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby took place on Tuesday. Essential Quality, who is undefeated in five starts, was named the 2-1 morning-line favorite after drawing post 14. The first leg of the Triple Crown will feature 20 horses, who will navigate the 1 1/4 miles of the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs.
