The Grade 2 Fleur de Lis Stakes is a feature race for fillies and mares and includes the likes of Letruska and Envoutante.
Held at Churchill Downs, the 1⅛-mile journey has attracted only six entrants, but it could be one of the more competitive races this season.
Online betting markets are available for the Fleur de Lis and we’re expecting big bets to come for numerous runners.

Fleur de Lis Top Pick – Letruska
Trainer: Fausto Gutierrez
Jockey: Jose L. Ortiz
Post Position: 6
The five-year-old mare by Super Saver comes into the Fleur de Lis Stakes with the best form of any runner in the contest.
She scored back-to-back wins in the Grade 3 Rampart and Grade 3 Houston Ladies Classic at Sam Houston. She followed up the wins with a second placing in the Grade 2 Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn Park before returning to winning form.
Her last two performances have been nothing short of exceptional. Letruska won the Grade 1 Apple Blossom Handicap at Oaklawn, where she got the better of Monomoy Girl, which is no easy feat.
I think we all know who my pick is in the G2 Fleur de Lis…..

To prove it wasn’t a fluke win, she won the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps at Belmont last month, so she’s firing on all cylinders.
“She’s in a good condition to run,” trainer Fausto Gutierrez told BloodHorse. “This is a very important race. We’re going step by step for now and this is the next race we had in mind. I know it’s just 21 days from the (Ogden Phipps). When a horse wants to run and they’re ready to run, we have to let them run. She’s at Keeneland training and we’re looking forward to getting her to Churchill.”
She is the clear top pick and we don’t think she will let bettors down.
Fleur de Lis Best Value – Envoutante
Trainer: Kenneth G. McPeek
Jockey: Brian Joseph Hernandez Jr.
Post Position: 4
Knocking on the door of a career-defining victory is Envoutante, who already has a Grade 2 win on her record.
The four-year-old filly by Uncle Mo won the Falls City Handicap at Churchill Downs last year and she does her best racing on this track.
She has had four starts at Churchill Downs for three wins and a second placing in the Grade 1 La Troienne, so her form stacks up brilliantly.

Envoutante was second behind Shedaresthedevil, and that form has stacked up in the top grades all season. She followed it up with a win in the Shawnee Stakes last month, so bettors should be confident.
Horse racing betting markets will have a competitive market and Envoutante should be well-backed on race day.
Fleur de Lis Best Roughie – Vault
Trainer: Brad H. Cox
Jockey: Tyler Gaffalione
Post Position: 3
Vault has different form lines to most runners in this field, but she shouldn’t be ruled out because of it.
The five-year-old mare was disappointing when running 11th in the Pippin Stakes at Oaklawn Park in January, but her form since has been credible.
She scored a win and a placing in allowance grades before taking on a tough field in the Grade 2 Ruffian Handicap and coming out on top.
The Belmont Park victory put her firmly back in contention for the Fleur de Lis and she now has a chance to kick on with the job.
Trainer Brad Cox will have her ready to fire and bettors should get value odds against this level of opposition.
