There is one thing that we probably have in common with the world’s pro athletes: we all enjoy spending time with our pets. You might not be able to drive an F1 car like Lewis Hamilton, throw a ball like Patrick Mahomes, or shoot a hoop like Devin Booker, but gushing and posting pictures of their cute pets on social media is a similarity we all share.

Social media has made pro athletes more approachable than ever in the modern era, and as a result, even some of their furry friends have developed fanatical followings of their own. So, here’s a list of gifted athletes and their cute pets.

Roscoe Hamilton (Lewis Hamilton)

Apart from being a major star in the F1 racing community, he is also a huge dog lover and he makes it very known. During a 2021 interview with Essentially Sports, Hamilton says that he loves traveling with Roscoe, and tries to take him anywhere he can. “He’s getting old. I don’t know how long I’ll have him around. So, I’m trying to keep him with me everywhere.”

Roscoe is also a growing social media star with over 700k followers, where we get to see glimpses of the relationship between him and Hamilton. I say you keep an eye out on his next race, you might just see his cute English Bulldog around!

Steel & Silver Mahomes (Patrick Mahomes)

If you’re a fan of the Chiefs quarterback, and follow him on social media, you for sure have seen his cute pitbull and cane corso. From what we can see on Mahomes’ Instagram, he seems like he takes being a dog dad very seriously. Even using them to learn the gender of his baby with Brittany Mattews!

As we’ve seen Mahomes blow up in fame, so have his furry friends! Steel and Silver have over 200k followers on Instagram, where they frequently update pictures/videos of their cute dogs in adorable outfits. Make sure to give them a follow.

Boujee (Juju Smith-Schuster)

Fun fact: Juju used to be afraid of dogs before he adopted Boujee. According to ESPN, he used to be scared of dogs, but after adopting his French bulldog, he states that “[Boujee] changed my life”.

Another fun fact for you is that his doggo was named after the Migos song ‘Bad and Boujee’. I think we’ve all thought about naming our pets after our favorite song. Boujee has his own verified Instagram account with over 190k followers where we get a glance at Boujees’ daily adventures that go from going to the park with his dad to celebrating birthdays.

Rue Delle Donne (Elena Delle Donne)

After the sad passing of her great Dane, Wrigley, Elena introduced a new furry friend to her followers. Another great Dane puppy called Rue. This – not so small – new addition to the family has warmed people’s hearts with his adorable face, and even gets along with his brother Rasta. Make sure to check out his personal Instagram account for more adorable content!

Haven Booker (Devin Booker)

Is Devin Booker the fur father of the year? I think so! You’ll always see Booker reminding you how proud he is to have his cane corso with him. He brought him home right after the pandemic hit, keeping him company during lockdown. It’s a trend I never want to see the end of. Your fur friend is the best company, so if you’ve been thinking about adopting, do it!
