It’s Finally Coming! ⛳

I don’t know 100 percent, but I think around July. – Adam Sandler

Happy Gilmore 2 is just around the corner—or, well, 7-8 months away. Adam Sandler recently made entertainment news headlines for dropping some juicy details about the highly anticipated sequel, so let’s dive in!

During a guest spot on The Dan Patrick Show last Friday, Sandler revealed the Happy Gilmore 2 release date is set for July 2025. “I don’t know 100 percent, but I think around July. Not July 4th, but we’re trying to get it done in time for July,” the Sandler said when asked about the timeline. He also added, “You never know what’s going to happen. We’re just finishing today — it’s the last day,” confirming that filming for the sequel has officially wrapped.

Unreal Cast

The Happy Gilmore 2 cast is stacked with star-power cameos that have fans buzzing. Of course, Sandler returns alongside Ben Stiller, Christopher McDonald reprising his iconic role as Shooter McGavin, and Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit. But the new additions are just as exciting: Nick Swardson, Benny Safdie, Margaret Qualley, Bad Bunny (yes, Bad Bunny!), and even Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Oh, and here’s the latest mic-drop cameo: Marshall Mathers. “Eminem was cool. He came by, and he was great,” Sandler teased. “I’ve known Eminem for a long time, and he’s a great guy. He came in and was funny as hell. We just hung out for a day, and he shot and shot—it was insane.Betting on entertainment doesn’t get better than this lineup.

Long-Awaited Return

It’s wild to think it’s been nearly 30 years since Happy Gilmore first graced our screens in February 1996. Back then, Sandler was still solidifying his place as a comedy legend with hits like Billy Madison and Waterboy. The original film grossed $41 million on a $12 million budget and remains one of the most iconic comedy movies of all time.

The real question is, will this sequel live up to its predecessor? The first film—and really, all early Adam Sandler movies—had such a massive influence on early 2000s comedy that it’ll be fascinating to see how it holds up in 2025’s entertainment landscape. Personally, I’m counting down the days until July 2025. Let’s just hope Happy Gilmore 2 delivers the laughs we’ve been waiting decades for. We’re betting on entertainment gold.
