Will It Hit? 🚀
Uncommon for an asteroid to be rated at Torino Scale 3… – NASA
Will Asteroid 2024 YR4 hit Earth? That’s the question raging across the internet, an existential threat that could have catastrophic effects on mankind. And guess who has odds on this possible calamity? You guessed it—BetUS!
Coming in Hot!
NASA has warned of a high-speed asteroid approaching Earth, which has been heralded online and in broadcasts with headlines like Asteroid Impact 2032. They say bad news sells much better than good news, and that’s quite evident as there’s a 97% chance it won’t hit but a 3% chance that it will hit in 2032.
The odds of #Asteroid2024YR4 hitting Earth in 2032 just went up again 👀

So, of course, that’s what editors and writers across the globe are trumpeting. Would anyone be reading this if we said there’s nearly a 100% chance that this big rock hurtling through space will miss us entirely? However, just the possibility that our little blue spinning marble may be in its path is enough to make any of us furrow our brow and think…what if?
Apparently, the Asteroid 2024 YR4 odds of hitting Earth are a 3 on the Torino scale. Oh, you don’t know what the Torino scale is? Well, fortunately, I am well-educated in the computational modeling of asteroid trajectories—I’ve got a BS, *wink, wink,* don’t cha know—and I can tell you that very few larger space rocks climb that high on the scale with 0 being no threat and 10 being an imminent threat.
According to NASA, it is “uncommon for an asteroid to be rated at Torino Scale 3, because that can only happen for an asteroid larger than 20 meters (65 feet) with an impact probability of 1% or greater, which is quite rare for an object of this size. Smaller objects have reached higher impact probabilities, even up to 100%, but they are always rated 0 on the Torino Scale because of their size.”
BetUS Has Odds on the Collision
Where the hell else would you find Asteroid YR4 Hitting Odds except at the industry’s most ingenious bookmaker, BetUS, which would have not just one novelty prop on this topic but several?

BetUS’s innovative oddsmakers are asking, Will Asteroid 2024 YR4 Strike Earth in December of 2032? If yes, then those who bet on it happening will get a 40-1 return on their investment.
Or how about, How Wide Will It Be When Asteroid 2024 YR4 Strikes Earth? Over or under 180 ½ feet is the choice you’ve got to make.
And How Fast Will Asteroid 2024 YR4 Be Traveling When It Impacts Earth? This thing is coming in hotter than a Ben Joyce fastball at 38,000 miles per hour being the over/under.
