Leave DeMar Alone, BBL Drizzy!
If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself. – Drake
Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss didn’t just create tension—it absolutely wrecked Drake’s social circle, especially within the NBA. What was once a bond of courtside bromances turned into an all-out cold war, all thanks to the Kendrick Lamar Drake beef.
Now, Drake is exacting his revenge in true Drake fashion: throwing a tantrum and calling out his former friends under his breath.

Drake Needs to Get Over It
On Saturday, the Sacramento Kings’ DeMar DeRozan faced off against the Raptors in Toronto, but the NBA games weren’t the only event on Drake’s mind. According to TMZ, during a TSN broadcast, Drake was asked if DeRozan should have his jersey retired like Vince Carter’s.
Drake’s response? A jab cloaked in pettiness: “If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself.” Chill, BBL Drizzy. The Drake vs Kendrick drama happened nearly six months ago and DeMar likely doesn’t even care anymore.

But the shade didn’t stop there. Sitting courtside, Drake reportedly glared at DeRozan every time he approached, even muttering “p*ssy” under his breath.

Really, Drake? You’re barely 5’11 (he says 6’0, but let’s be real) and allegedly sporting surgically enhanced abs. Meanwhile, DeRozan is a 6’6 athlete from Compton, CA. And what exactly did he expect? DeRozen to pause mid-game for a sideline brawl?
How It All Began
For context, Drake’s resentment runs deep. During the peak of the drama, DeRozan attended Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert in L.A. and even joined K Dot onstage to sing Not Like Us—a track that couldn’t be more pointed. Not only did DeRozan publicly pick a side, but then we got the infamous DeMar DeRozan Not Like Us cameo. To twist the knife further, a bunch of NBA stars showed up at that concert, sending a clear message.

Drake’s response? He unfollowed DeRozan, LeBron James, and a handful of other NBA and celebrity friends on Instagram, a classic Drake move.
So here we are, six months later, with Drake still nursing bruised pride from a beef that made waves across celebrity news. But it’s painfully obvious: pretending not to care would have done him far more good than sulking courtside and tossing petty insults. Meanwhile, DeRozan is probably somewhere laughing with his homies, wondering why Drake just can’t let it go.
