This shouldn’t put your overall dreams down, however, especially after Cristiano Ronaldo just wished IShowSpeed a Happy Birthday yesterday, which went viral in soccer news. The popular streamer turned 20; he posted the celebrations online—CR7-themed cake and all—before the Portuguese soccer sensation wished his superfan the best.
Dreams do come true! (I’m still waiting, Sydney).
To better understand the hype, IShowSpeed, despite his fame and fortune, remains a diehard fan of Ronaldo. The young social media entrepreneur even wrapped his Lamborghini in a CR7 livery and has custom jewelry emulating the footballer’s likeness. Speed has never been shy about his obsession with the Al-Nassr star, and he even kitted his house out with a Ronaldo theme last month.
So, when Speed received birthday wishes from CR7, it was a big deal, as fans flocked to social media to share screenshots from the Gram.
In response to Speed’s B’Day post, Ronaldo wrote: “Happy Birthday, Speed! Hope your day was great. Stay wild and fast!”

Speed Is Living the Dream
Speed’s birthday celebrations were spent in Argentina. The streamer is currently on tour in South America, and when his girlfriend, Vanessa, surprised him with her arrival, the wholesome sparked his emotions as he thanked her for two cakes. Of course, she knows her man well, as one of the cakes was dripped in Portuguese red with a Ronaldo theme.

Naturally, Speed diehards were just as excited as he was.
“I know Speed’s doing quadruple backflips somewhere reading that [Ronaldo] comment,” One Instagram user wrote.

CR7 & Speed Collab Incoming?
Given that Speed’s global reach and popularity have made him one of the most well-known streamers and social media personalities worldwide, you’d think he would have already collaborated with the football ace.
Unfortunately, despite calling for a collab since the Portuguese international started his YouTube channel, such soccer rumors haven’t emerged, as the closest Speed has gotten to CR7 was during a MrBeast video. Sadly, they were in different segments and didn’t actually cross paths. Speed later called out Jimmy (MrBeast) for neglecting his fandom, and to his surprise, he was added to a WhatsApp group chat with Ronaldo.
Should we prepare for a Speed/Ronaldo collab? At this point, it seems inevitable and should Speed fans continue bombarding CR7 with comments, it’s only a matter of time.
