Time’s Up ❌
He danced his way out, but he’s not exactly empty-handed.
So, here we are: Dwight Howard, the guy who towered over (literally) his DWTS competition, is out. And let’s just say, the fans were ready. Social media was basically a countdown clock for when he’d be sent home – not because he was amazing, but, well, because he wasn’t.
You know it’s a rough ride when people in entertainment news are saying he was “carried” by his dance partner, Daniella Karagach (she did, though). At one point, I saw someone online saying he looked like he barely wanted to be there. Fair.
The only other Dwight Howard teammate who has carried him as far as Daniella has..#DWTS pic.twitter.com/xc2sWPTve0

NBA Titles Don’t Translate to Tango Triumphs
To his credit, Howard’s Argentine Tango wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen. But the Dancing With the Stars odds were stacked against him from the get-go. Sure, he’s conquered NBA games, got the Dwight Howard net worth on lock, and grabbed that 2020 championship, but the guy hit a wall on the DWTS stage.
That Instant Dance Challenge – where you learn a new routine in five minutes – only sealed the deal. His lowest score of the season, and then he couldn’t pull in enough votes to save his spot. Ouch.
i love Dani but Dwight has to go tonight #DWTS pic.twitter.com/FggldeXpNv

At Least He’s Got the NBA Trophies
Howard might not be getting a mirrorball trophy, but let’s face it – he’s set. He’s got a championship ring, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, and more All-Star games under his belt than most. If DWTS fans had been checking the entertainment betting odds, they would’ve known this exit was coming a mile away. But hey, after years in the NBA, he’s probably a pro at taking feedback on the chin. He danced his way out, but he’s not exactly empty-handed.
I agree that it’s time for Dwight to go, but I can’t help but commend his good sportsmanship and thankfulness to the judges. If he loses, he’ll be the best, most graceful loser the show has ever seen. #dwts

And now? The Dancing with the Stars betting odds are on the rest of the athletes still in the game – with the semifinals right around the corner. It’s going to be fun to see who makes it, and who gets the same treatment as Dwight.
