Waiting for the Kelce Bros x Taylor Swift Collab
I’ll be crying in the club (my bed) listening to “Fairytale of Philadelphia” on repeat…
It looks like Taylor Swift isn’t the only one making celebrity news with her chart-topping anthems.
The Kelce brothers have made headlines this week by releasing a Christmas carol on the album A Philly Christmas Special, entitled “Fairytale of Philadelphia,” and the track has reached No. 1 on iTunes.

I truly have no words, but for this article, I will try to string some together between my cackling and share a few details about the masterpiece performed by the NFL stars.
This is the second Christmas album the Philadelphia Eagles have put out supporting the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This year’s album features Grammy award winner Patti LaBelle, offensive tackle Jordan Mailata, and, of course, the Kelce brothers.

I’m not laughing at the song itself, which is actually quite sensational. What tickles me is that after this track was released, the Swifties jokingly said they would join forces to launch it to the top of the charts, AND THEY DID.
I will lose my sh*t if pseudo-serious music reviews come out. Imagine Pitchfork writing something like, “The duo draws inspiration from The Pogues’ Fairytale of New York, only their vocals are gritty and raw, delivering the lyrics with an intensity that immerses the listener into the song’s emotionally-charged narrative.” LOL
The Chiefs tight end even nods to Swift with the lyric, “Cars as big as bars.” (At least, I think this was intentional). For those who don’t know, fans of Swift have made viral compilations pointing out how frequently the 12-time Grammy award winner has rhymed “car” and “bar” in her songs.
Of all the unexpected events of this year, blasting a Christmas carol performed by two pro football players who sing about their familial bond might be the most surprising.

The song was released just days before the brothers are set to battle on the football field in the highly anticipated Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl rematch.
No matter the outcome of the game, I’ll be crying in the club (my bed) listening to “Fairytale of Philadelphia” on repeat. Am I the only one who finds it incredibly hard to root for either team because of how much love they have for each other?! Since when are NFL games making me emotional?!
