Kendrick Is Unstoppable Right Now
I’m gassed to see what else the ‘Top Dawg’ from Compton has in store.
If Kendrick Lamar dropping a surprise album on us – GNX – and taking the Super Bowl half-time show headline spot wasn’t enough, now he’s gone and confirmed a stadium tour with the ultra-talented SZA.
Drake really gone and woke the beast huh?
Despite delivering one of the greatest albums in Hip Hop history (Good Kid, M.A.A.D City), consistency and Kendrick haven’t been a thing for some time. We can only assume he’s been enjoying the quiet life with his family, as we’ve watched him irregularly drop in and out of the music spotlight following his 2012-2017 run.
Then, Drake vs Kendrick arrived because the former foolishly thought he was “that guy,” and we must thank the Canadian superstar for bringing our Kendrick back to us!
Albums, singles, a Drake diss or four, the Super Bowl, and now a stadium tour… I don’t know about you, but I’m gassed to see what else the ‘Top Dawg’ from Compton has in store.

Kendrick and SZA Have History
Some might believe Kendrick is taking more shots at Drake by collaborating with SZA, and although the hit would be hilarious, that isn’t the case.
TDE diehards, like myself, will know that Kendrick collaborated with SZA long before her relationship with Drake. Sure, the two might have some choice words to say about their least favorite OVO hoe, but their history of making bangers isn’t anything new.

Top Dawg Entertainment has some of the greatest talents in rap, including Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul. These are Kendrick’s long-time friends; of course, TDE, the label, is where he initially grew into a superstar. One of the label’s biggest signings was SZA back in 2013, with Kendrick being one of her biggest supporters.

Following the Championship Tour’s success in 2018, Kendrick and SZA songs are back on the road with TDE, Live Nation, and pgLang for an epic stadium tour. The sweet melodies of SZA can be found on Kendrick’s latest album (Listen to Luther, now!), and with its success alongside his ascension back to the hip-hop spotlight, it just makes sense.
I’ve never personally had the chance to see SZA live, but I can tell you this: I’ve witnessed Kendrick perform Section 80 and Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, and those shows were absolute movies! So, I have no doubt these upcoming gigs won’t fail to deliver!

- May 8 & 9, 2025 – East Rutherford, NJ @ The MetLife Stadium

Alternative dates and locations have yet to be confirmed. Tickets for the above dates go on sale Friday, December 6, at 10 AM ET, and it’s safe to say that Drake won’t be in attendance.
