For a while, it looked like Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and the rest of Marvel’s MCU characters were not going to see the light of day again. However, Marvel fans can rejoice as Daredevil: Born Again is very real and Disney made entertainment news this week by dropping the first trailer for the series.

There have been entertainment rumors about a Daredevil reboot for years but Marvel was dragging its feet. Now they’ve finally gotten the show off the ground and we see some familiar faces to go with some new characters.
Charlie Cox movies and TV shows haven’t been as popular but he’s now returning to his most famous role as Matt Murdock. One thing that will have fans really excited is Vincent D’Onofrio returning as Kingpin. He was instantly iconic in the role in the original Daredevil series and getting him back is a big deal. Jon Bernthal is also returning as Frank Castle/The Punisher.

What to Expect From ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
There have been some major red flags regarding the Daredevil reboot in recent years. The series was deep into production when Marvel decided they weren’t happy with it and decided to do a total overhaul.
However, there are still episodes coming out that were directed by the previous team. Marvel then did something genius by hiring Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead to direct the rest of the series. For those who don’t know, Benson and Moorehead made big names for themselves in the indie world and directed some incredible films like The Endless, Spring, Synchronic and Something in the Dirt.

They also worked on Moon Knight and Loki for Marvel so this isn’t their first foray into the MCU. I personally wouldn’t have much interest in Daredevil if those two weren’t involved. At the very least, the series should be very well-directed. It’s just a shame that they also didn’t get a chance to write the series.
Regardless, there’s enough in the trailer to have fans excited and it’ll be interesting to see if the series feels disjointed because of all the changes they had to make.
