Ben Stiller Asked, Tim Cook Answered: Season 3 Is Happening!
No, the plan is not to [wait three years]. – Ben Stiller
With the Severance season finale being the talk of the town, everybody is asking, will there be a season 3 of Severance? Luckily, if you’re one of those people, you don’t have to wait long for an answer.
After a question posed by series executive producer Ben Stiller, Apple CEO Tim Cook dropped some entertainment news this Friday that season 3 is officially happening.
Season 3 of Severance is available upon request.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Apple TV hasn’t been a huge success for the tech giant and Severance is one of their biggest shows yet. With creative minds like Stiller and creator Dan Erickson running the show, the series will likely go on until they run out of story to tell. This is great news for people who love engaging, creative storytelling.

How Long Will It Take for Season 3 to Come Out?
The first season of Severance was also a huge hit for Apple but it took a whopping three years for the second season to come out. With the Severance cast getting busy, it becomes difficult to push another season out quickly.
However, Stiller made sure to let fans know that it won’t take as long for season 3.
“No, the plan is not to [wait three years],” Stiller said. “Hopefully we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon.”
There were ten Severance episodes in season 2 so it’s likely that they’ll land on the same amount of episodes for season 3. Stiller has worked on some very great movies throughout his career but Severance has been extra special for him.
“Making ‘Severance’ has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” Stiller said in a statement. “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making Season 3 will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”
It has to feel good for him that audiences are resonating with the series.
