The Pursuit of Rap Clout 🎤
Does anyone really need a full album from Will Smith in 2025?
Earlier this year, Will Smith shocked us all by announcing his return to the music scene, and now he’s back in entertainment news gearing up for live performances. That’s right, the same guy who gave us “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” is ready to hit the stage again—and we have questions.
The Prince of Bel Air Is Back
His first live show is set for the international POSITIV Festival in July 2025, held at the Roman Theatre of Orange in France. It’ll mark his first-ever concert in the country and signals his serious plans to revive his music career. Smith recently dropped a new single, “Work of Art,” featuring his son Jaden Smith and Russ.

The accompanying music video has racked up decent views (2.3 million as of today) and praise, setting the tone for his rumored album. This isn’t just a one-off moment, either. According to Variety, Smith performed with J Balvin at Coachella, delivered his first live rendition of “You Can Make It” at the BET Awards, and even surprised fans at La Velada Del Año 4. Clearly, he’s betting big on his entertainment rumors turning into a full-blown comeback.

Back to Music?
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. When the world learned the 56-year-old star of countless Will Smith movies and TV shows, including Hitch and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, was making music again, the collective reaction was… skeptical at best. Sure, we all love a nostalgia trip, but does anyone really need a full album from Will Smith in 2025?
Surprisingly, though, the reception has been way more positive than anyone expected. Credit where it’s due—his kids, Jaden and Willow, are insanely talented, and they probably aren’t letting Dad make a fool of himself (at least not without some decent beats and production).

But here’s the thing: dropping a decent single and performing surprise gigs doesn’t necessarily mean Smith is ready for a full-scale festival tour. Will he be able to keep the momentum going, or will the POSITIV Fest turn into a cringe-fest? Only time—and maybe some strategic betting on entertainment—will tell.
Between his music and acting ventures that contribute to his impressive Will Smith net worth, he’s not slowing down anytime soon. But should he? Well, that’s a debate for another day.
