Can Netflix Handle the Load?
Globally, fight enthusiasts will be glued to their screens for the showdown!…
It has been revealed in boxing news that Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will face Terence Crawford, another undefeated world champion, in Las Vegas on September 13.
Finally!
The clash between the two undefeated, undisputed world champions is the first boxing match involving Saudi billionaire Turki Alalshikh and UFC leader Dana White. Canelo’s unchallenged super middleweight belt is on the line, and the fight will be streamed live on Netflix.
Netflix? I know what you’re thinking; the sh*t show from Paul vs. Tyson doesn’t give us hope, but it’s also an opportunity for the streaming platform to redeem themselves.

Can Netflix’s Viewership Numbers Match Paul vs. Tyson’s 65 Million?
Well, it’s hardly shocking boxing rumors that this brawl is heading to Netflix. I mean, who could forget the jaw-dropping numbers from last year’s showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson? A mind-boggling 65 million viewers at its peak! Talk about a knockout hit!
That success was, of course, mostly thanks to Tyson and the undeniable aura his name and reputation still hold, even in this day and age. But can the Canelo-Crawford showdown even dream of snagging half of those jaw-dropping numbers?
This is the definition of a Superfight‼️
To many boxing fans these are the 2 best fighters of this generation, which is why Netflix is making this MASSIVE investment🤑💰

Well, it looks like someone’s got their rose-colored glasses on! But hey, the super-middleweight showdown featuring Crawford is already stirring up quite the buzz, and as the fight draws nearer, you can bet those interest levels are going to skyrocket like a cat on a hot tin roof!
Globally, fight enthusiasts will be glued to their screens for the showdown! Canelo is, without a doubt, a colossal star in both Mexico and the United States, while Crawford, despite not having quite the same global spotlight, remains a familiar name to all boxing aficionados.

What’s worrying, however, is whether Netflix servers can maintain such numbers after streaming issues surfaced during the Paul/Tyson broadcast.
We don’t have those answers, but surely, the world’s largest streaming platform wouldn’t make the same mistake twice, right?

Size vs. Science: Crawford’s Weight Disadvantage
Numbers aside, a packed house at The Allegiant Stadium is almost guaranteed, and as Canelo pointed out, it’s only fitting that the showdown happens in Vegas during Mexican Independence Day.
This showdown is going to be massive, like a sumo wrestler in a phone booth! Not quite Tyson-Paul level, but still packing a punch! Turki Alalshikh has boldly declared that this fight will be “the biggest in boxing fights.” It looks like Canelo-Crawford is set to be the heavyweight champion of fights this year, and I think we can all nod in agreement on that one!
In the latest episode of “Crawford’s Gym Chronicles,” our hero has graced us with a sneak peek of him shadow boxing in the ring. Spoiler alert: he’s looking bulkier than a Thanksgiving turkey!

Crawford is making the leap from 154 pounds, a weight class he’s graced only once with a decision win over Israil Madrimov. While “Bud” is likely to bulk up a bit, he’ll definitely want to keep his speed intact!
Can Crawford actually pull a rabbit out of the hat and take down Canelo next fight with skill over size? And if that’s the case, where does he land in the grand scheme of things when discussing the greatest of all time?
