UFC Debuts in the Kingdom With Style 🔥

With the stacked pay-per-view cards of 2024, such as UFC 300 and 299, UFC news has undoubtedly struggled to provide fight fans with worthy Fight Night events so far. Well, let me stop you in your tracks because that changed, as Dana White announced what could potentially be the most talent-stacked FN of the year!

Don’t just read, engage! Join our Telegram channel. 👊

It was the early hours of the morning, 6 A.M. British Standard Time, and let me tell you, nothing interrupts my crumpets and tea without a good reason, but UFC President Dana White gave me more than one excuse to put my exquisite morning cuisine on hold.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s inaugural appearance in Saudi Arabia has circulated UFC rumors for some time, but finally, we have a confirmed date and a slew of top-tier fights that our favorite bald MMA promoter just announced.

The undefeated Khamzat ‘Borz’ Chimaev makes his long-awaited return to the octagon and continued stalking of the middleweight division when he takes on the former champ, Robert Whittaker, in the Saudi Arabia Fight Night main event.

In the evening’s co-main event, #3-ranked Sergei Pavlovich will meet #6-ranked Alexander Volkov in an all-Russian clash of heavyweights.

We were happy enough with these two bouts, but it doesn’t stop there. Elsewhere on the Fight Night Saudi Arabia card, Kelvin Gastelum takes on Daniel Rodriguez at 170lbs, the always-entertaining Johnny Walker goes toe-to-toe with Volkan Oezdemir, and top prospect Sharaputdin Magomedov does battle with Ihor Potieria.

As far as debut events go, what else could Saudi Arabian fight fans ask for? They’ve received a lineup of fights that are pay-per-view-worthy on a Fight Night card, and moreover, for those not in attendance, this fight card will be free to watch!

The Power of the Kingdom

From Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou to Anthony Joshua and Dmitry Bivol, Saudi Arabia has been a hotspot for combat sports over the past six months. Not to mention the fact they stole Cristiano Ronaldo from European soccer fans, alongside a plethora of top-tier football talent that are now competing in the Saudi Pro League.

Then, there’s golf, F1, and a collection of other sports the Saudis have dabbled in, as ‘The Kingdom’ is slowly becoming the new mecca for professional athletes.

That said, the UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia was initially slated for March 2024. The alleged main event was Muhammad Mokaev vs. Alex Perez. Rumors suggested that ‘The Kingdom’ refused such a weak card, and while Dana has since refuted these claims, it’s funny how the event was canceled, and now they are hosting one of the best scheduled Fight Night events of 2024.

If you ask me, it’s the power of ‘The Kingdom’ that came into play. Did the UFC really suggest a Mokaev main event in Saudi Arabia? Who knows… but if they did, I have no doubt your Excellency and the disgustingly rich fellas involved reminded Dana that they aren’t settling for some flyweight hype train like Mokaev after hosting the likes of Fury, Joshua, and Ngannou.

UFC Saudi Arabia is LIVE and FREE on ABC on June 22nd… Just Bleed!!!
