A 30+ Year Age Difference Is Ridiculous!

If [Jake Paul] beats Mike Tyson, he’ll fight Clint Eastwood next; Clint is 93 years old. – Dana White

Dana White has never been a fan of Jake Paul, and neither have I. You can respect the hustle without respecting the person, and that’s exactly where I stand with this smarmy pr*ck. Perhaps I’m too old or maybe too cynical.

Paul’s latest endeavor into boxing a 57-year-old Mike Tyson is f*cking insane for a kid claiming he wants to be a “boxer.” The UFC President shared his harsh thoughts on the matter, which have recently circulated in boxing news.

“I love Mike, and I hate talking about it because he always gets mad at me when I talk about this stuff. But when this fight happens, he’ll be 58 years old; it will be a 31-year age gap,” White commented when talking with Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman on the Pound 4 Pound podcast.

“You know Jake Paul did fight a kid his own age, and he lost. I saw this thing on the internet yesterday that if he beats Mike Tyson, he’ll fight Clint Eastwood next; Clint is 93 years old.”

Jake being laughed at is hilarious—we all do it, and it’ll never stop. However, humor generates more laughs when it’s fact-based. This kid was on the right path, fighting low-level boxers and building his record, and now he’s back fighting old men. Where does he get off?

He’s a Content Creator, Not a Boxer

Can Jake Paul box and force himself into boxing rumors? Yes… Do we see him as a boxer? No! There’s a reason Paul fought Andre August and Ryan Bourland: to earn respect and build a resume to legitimize himself as a professional boxer. The problem is, these fights tanked; nobody cared, and he couldn’t create content around them.

There’s also a reason why Jake Paul fought aging, semi-retired MMA fighters: It was to troll the MMA/UFC community and build a one-sided feud with Dana White while also having the ability to create content in the social media scene he came upon.

Paul knows that mocking his opponents, creating hype, and then defeating them puts him on a pedestal in the eyes of a younger generation who know no better. He’s a money-maker, and boxing is the façade he’s used to fool the masses.

I respect the hustle, but here we are; Jake Paul’s next fight isn’t an active boxer; he isn’t building his record up; he’s attempting to forge hype and an “easy” win versus an old man.

Can Tyson Perform Against Paul?

Mike Tyson’s record is 50-6-2 with 44 KOs, and he’s etched into boxing history as one of the scariest power punchers. He’s reaching 58 years of age, and I don’t believe it’s a wise choice to step into the ring during this time of his life.

However, I’m not taking the sentiments of most: “Tyson will get hurt,” “Tyson shouldn’t be fighting,” and all of that soft talk. Ultimately, Mike is making the decision. He’s a grown-ass man, and he can do exactly what he pleases.

Doctors are concerned. Oh really? No sh*t Sherlock—ask any doctor their opinion of boxing, no matter what their age, and they’re going to be reluctant to say positive things.

Again, this might very well be the best opportunity for an old man to knock Paul flat on his ass. Say what you will about Tyson’s age, but look at this man train.

Can Tyson defeat Paul? I’m not sure, but the latter is nothing special, and it would be a glorious moment to witness the heavyweight legend deliver that Peek-A-Boo style and send that blonde-haired Ohio b*tch back to where he came from.

I wouldn’t recommend anybody reaching their sixties compete in any sport with a 30-year age gap. However, for the softies encouraging Tyson to back out and find a new sport, this isn’t for you, and I’m sure you’ll be logged into Netflix on July 20th.
