White Calls Out Mitchell

He’s stupid. He’s dumb. You can’t fix dumb people… – Dana White

As combat sports fans, we’re quite accustomed to hearing controversial and sometimes completely stupid comments from fighters. However, nothing has ever quite shaken UFC news like Bryce Mitchell’s recent comments on Adolf Hitler.

Mitchell, a longtime mixed martial artist competing in UFC fights for the featherweight division, regularly tops headlines for his conspiracy theories and outspoken opinions. He’s a flat-earther from Arkansas who isn’t afraid to speak his mind, but during a segment in his debut podcast episode titled ArkanSanity, he crossed the line so much that said line is no longer visible.

In response to Elon Musk’s alleged Nazi-like salute during a Donald Trump rally, Mitchell used this topic to paint Hitler as a “good guy” whom he wouldn’t mind going on a finishing trip with. He basically sympathized with one of history’s most evil dictators and a former German conqueror who was later categorized as a psychopath due to his severe lack of empathy towards humanity and the insane WW2 crimes that came as a result.

Dana White, Mitchell’s boss and the President of the UFC, wasted no time in responding to these ignorant and utterly distasteful remarks just hours after the podcast episode went live:

“He’s stupid. He’s dumb. You can’t fix dumb people. You know what I mean? When you have somebody that’s really, really stupid, and that’s who we’re talking about here, what do you do? How do you talk sense to a dummy? You don’t.”

Conor McGregor is Praying for Bryce Mitchell

I took some time to listen to Mitchell’s podcast because I was genuinely in shock at the comments and couldn’t help but think they must’ve been taken out of context due to the ignorance surrounding the entire subject.

But no, Mitchell, in fact, questions and discusses a long list of fabricated theories, including an insane take on Japanese internment camps during World War II that I’d rather not repeat within this article.

We’ve poked fun at Mitchell’s conspiracy-theory-fuelled mind before, but this one’s been a difficult watch. I’d love to know whose rhetoric has convinced the featherweight contender of such beliefs because it’s a level of ignorance like no other.

It’s safe to say that Mitchell has just lost a huge chunk of his fan base, yet this hasn’t stopped Conor McGregor from putting him in his prayers…

Mitchell Might Get Knocked Out Again!

White gave a long speech on Mitchell’s comments, ripping into him hard, but still highlighted how free speech is an integral part of the business and that his featherweight contender might receive his punishment in the octagon.

The UFC will likely punish Mitchell for his comments in the best way possible, and that’s by matching him up with a difficult opponent.

Who would you want to see Mitchell fight in the UFC? I wouldn’t be opposed to shattering his title aspirations and handing him a KO loss by placing him in a fight with the 145lb champ Ilia Topuria.

For now, however, we’ll have to watch re-runs of the absolutely brutal right haymaker that Josh Emmett flatlined the Nazi sympathizer with.
