I’m here to see Mike Tyson whoop some ass. – Shaquille O’Neil
As heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson prepared to make his first appearance in a professional boxing match this past Friday in Arlington, Texas, it was no surprise that a flock of celebrities attended the AT&T Stadium to watch the event.
From sporting greats to cinema legends, political figures, and business moguls, let’s take a look at some of the most famous faces that attended Paul vs. Tyson, despite most of these faces likely leaving the event with a disappointed expression when The Problem Child took a unanimous decision.
Rob Gronkowski & Jeff Ross
There’s nothing funny about the New England Patriots’ fall from grace. Still, comedy met the NFL during Mike Tyson’s highly anticipated return when Rob Gronkowski and Jeff Ross were spotted ringside.
Considering the Tyson-Paul bout was a snoozer for the most part, hanging out with a comedian like Jeff Ross must have been convenient for Gronkowski, as he would have at least been able to laugh through the pain of watching Jake and Mike spar for eight rounds.

Charlize Theron
She might not have been relevant in Hollywood since her 2004 Academy Award-winning role in Monster. Still, we don’t blame actress Charlize Theron for not wanting to miss the theatrics of a Jake Paul fight because it’s an absolute circus every time he’s scheduled to compete.

We missed a knockout during the fight until the camera panned on Theron because she’s a knockout beauty, even in her old age, and that’s worthy of boxing news.
Shaquille O’Neil
Former NBA big man and beloved basketball analyst Shaquille O’Neil said: “I’m here to see Mike Tyson whoop some ass.”

It’s amusing because not a single celebrity proclaimed that they turned up to see Jake Paul. Unfortunately, all those celebrities left Texas sad, much like O’Neil’s final career season with the Celtics.
Josh Duhamel & Audra Mari
Hollywood power couple Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari wouldn’t miss the return of Mike Tyson.

I don’t know if Josh is still considered a celebrity because I haven’t seen him in anything notable since Transformers (2009). However, his wife, Audra Mari, is always worth mentioning for being the smoke shot that she is!

Jerry Jones, Tori Kelly, & Hailey Welch
Jerry Jones needed a break from watching his Dallas Cowboys team lose in the NFL, and there was no better way to achieve this than by watching people do what he wanted to do to Mike McCarthy: punch.
Tori Kelly belted the United States national anthem ahead of the Paul/Tyson bout. Sadly, nobody was proud to be American in boxing rumors once the final bell had rung.

“Hawk Tuah,” spit on that thing. Viral sensation Hailey Welch, as a Nashville native, only had a short trip to Arlington for the pugilist festivities this past Friday.
Jake Paul’s Next Fight
Mike Tyson has retired (again), thank God. We don’t know what’s next for Jake Paul, but his opponent will no doubt either have a losing record, be undersized, over the age of 38, inexperienced in professional boxing, or all of the above.
