Is Jones Done With the UFC? 🥊
You know, I don’t know what life holds as far as fighting and competing… – Jon Jones
UFC heavyweight champ Jon Jones isn’t convinced his fighting career boils down to just two choices — throw down with Tom Aspinall or hang up the gloves for good.
Jones’ potential unification showdown with Aspinall has been the talk of the town in UFC news and the mixed martial arts universe. The heavyweight title picture seems to be more tangled than a cat in a yarn factory.
After chasing a clash with Stipe Miocic to unify the belts, Jones has continued to give Aspinall the cold shoulder. Well, it looks like our British friend has snagged the not-so-coveted title of the longest-reigning interim champion in UFC history… Talk about a record nobody wants to brag about!
Tom Aspinall just posted this on YouTube 😭😭

When you thought the drama couldn’t get any juicier for fans eager to witness Jones and Aspinall throw down in the Octagon, the GOAT contender has thrown a curveball by hinting at the possibility of other matchups…
Either Jones is the biggest troll living up to a heel role, or he’ll go down as the biggest duck in MMA history.
🚨 Today marks 300 DAYS since Tom Aspinall’s last fight, which he won in 60 seconds

Jon Jones’ Options Outside of the UFC
We recently got to see Jones speak with VicBlends on DeepCut, and of course, he was asked about his UFC future and the potential of one more fight under Dana White’s promotion.
Jones did not comment on Aspinall, which was most likely a conscious decision. However, shockingly, he didn’t mention the UFC heavyweight division at all. Instead, the two-division champion and current heavyweight champ discussed “exhibition” bouts that don’t include UFC fights.
“You know, I don’t know what life holds as far as fighting and competing,” Jones commented. “I do feel like I will be a lifelong martial artist, whether I’m coaching others or taking exhibition matches.
“There’s a lot of great competition in the UFC, but I view myself as more than a fighter. Being in my position, I feel like I have a lot more options than a lot of other fighters as far as the ability to leave and return, and things like that.”
Many fighters, including a plethora of UFC retirees, followed their retirement with exhibition bouts, and it would seem that Jones might do the same…
We can only hope and pray that this plan isn’t coming into effect before he defends the title!
150,000 Fans Want Jones Stripped!
At this point, fans, including myself, are outraged that Aspinall has been sidelined for over a year, waiting for Jones to accept or vacate the position. And while many Bones Jones soy-boys still support him, a huge collection of fanatics are letting their thoughts be known.
With Jones continuing to dismiss the No. 1 contender, Aspinall, who currently holds the interim belt, an online petition has been created, asking the UFC to strip Jones of the heavyweight title, and it has been circulating in UFC rumors.
🏆 Jon Jones talks about ‘one more rodeo’ in the UFC:
“There’s a lot of great competition still in the UFC… I have a lot more options than a lot of the other fighters as far as the ability to leave and return.”

We’ve seen over 144,000 fans sign the petition asking for Jones to be stripped in under two weeks.
And yes, I have signed it myself because it’s getting ridiculous. Champions have been stripped for far less in the past, but it would seem Jones is receiving special treatment for holding up the division.
Defend or vacate!
