Psychedelic Sparring
I have to take them; when I train, I always train with my shrooms… – Mike Tyson
He’s no Harry Houdini, but he might pull a rabbit out of a hat come November 15th because Mike Tyson is using magic mushrooms as a part of his training regime for his upcoming bout with Jake Paul.

As far as unique training methods go, psychedelic shrooms are certainly one of the most uncommon practices. Yet, most people won’t be surprised to hear that ‘Iron Mike’ has admitted to such an approach as the former heavyweight champ has long been an avid supporter of the trippy little Fungi.

Tyson Speaks to Logan Paul About Shrooms
We’re just over two months out from Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson live on Netflix, so training footage from both camps is expected to be leaked onto the internet. However, after recent boxing news, we’re no longer interested in hitting pads and cardio; we want to see ‘Iron Mike’ pop some shrooms, trip balls, and then hit the speed bag.
Can you imagine the virality of a post involving Tyson taking a heavy dose of psychedelic mushrooms would garner? I’m here for it.
While we don’t have such a video just yet, we do have confirmation that magic mushroom consumption during training is an actual thing, as the legend of boxing recently discussed it with Logan Paul on the ImPAULsive podcast:
“I have to take them; when I train, I always train with my shrooms… I feel. I feel beautiful.”

Dinosaurs Invented Drugs???
Funnily, this wasn’t even the strange segment of the interview…
When questioned whether he would be taking mushrooms before the Paul fight, Tyson answered jokingly, claiming Logan’s brother might be on PCP if he didn’t. Then, the most magic mushroom-taking comment came out of nowhere, as he asserted dinosaurs invented drugs.
“I think dinosaurs invented all the drugs… I think they invented all the drug problems.”
“Dinosaurs invented all the drugs!”

Walter White, move on because you aren’t Breaking Bad in the drug game… the Tyrannosaurus Rex was cooking up a storm before anyone, even with those tiny little arms.
Let’s hope Tyson doesn’t take one-two-many shrooms on fight night, or we might just hear the first boxing rumors where a loser uses a hallucinogenic excuse… I can picture it now:
With a lisp: “I saw Jake turn into a Velociraptor mid-fight. I lost focus, and before I knew it, I was staring at the arena lights.”
What Is Mike Tyson’s Net Worth
Win or lose versus Jake Paul, Mike Tyson’s net worth places him in a comfortable financial position in life. He famously blew the millions he earned from boxing, but his post-career ventures have seen him build back to a $10 million net worth.
Ironically, Tyson recently launched a magic mushroom business, but a huge chunk of his income stems from a cannabis empire that rakes in six-figures monthly.
The Paul fight will also line his pockets with some extra millions, so it’s easy to see why the 58-year-old isn’t overly bothered about putting his health or reputation at risk.
Should he defeat Paul under the influence, I suppose he’ll have no one else to thank other than the prehistoric beasts!
