Slapping the Taste Out of His Mouth 🥊
And if somebody steps on my feet, I would totally tap out… – Mike Tyson
Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is hours away. The excitement is palpable right now, and so long as you haven’t spent $2 million on a VIP ticket, the festivities should be a movie as we witness one of the most talked about fights of the last decade.
Worryingly, Tyson fans don’t seem to be worried about the 58-year-old’s chances versus a much younger, faster, and durable Jake Paul… But maybe, just maybe, the outcome no longer matters because we just witnessed Iron Mike slap the sh*t out of Paul at the weigh-ins.
In a viral moment, which continues doing the rounds on social media nearly 24 hours later, as Paul crawled across the stage ready to face-off with Tyson, and when he accidentally trod on the foot of the former heavyweight champ, it kicked off
Tyson instantly slapped the taste out of Jake Paul’s mouth. It was a beautiful moment and one we can turn into a meme and make it live on forever despite the result of tonight’s Netflix clash.

Why Did Mike Tyson Slap Jake Paul?
At first, we were delighted to see The Problem Child getting slapped around the chops in boxing news. After the dust had settled, we then began to ask: Why? Why did Tyson slap Paul so aggressively, when the pair are literally going to punch each other inside the AT&T Stadium?
After reviewing the tape, the internet analysts spotted Paul stepping on Tyson’s right foot. He was notably shoeless, wearing nothing but his socks as his opponent’s crisp white kicks stepped on his toes. Therefore, his reaction before the pair even managed to face off for longer than a second makes more sense.
Here’s a fun fact you likely didn’t know, and more boxing rumors that explain Tyson’s crazy man behavior: During an interview back in 2019, Iron Mike explained how he hates feet:
“And I have the worst feet in the world. And if somebody steps on my feet, I would totally tap out. I would just give up; it would be a no-brainer.”

Paul’s Response to the Slap
Paul didn’t back down following the altercation. In fact, he seemed furious, and rightfully so.
“I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow, you’re getting knocked the f*ck out. I’m f*cking him up. He hits like a b*tch. It’s personal now. He must die,” Paul screamed on the microphone immediately after he was slapped.

Fortunately, the time for talking is over. Seven hours remain until the circus arrives in Texas, but slapping won’t get Tyson anywhere this time. As a man three decades younger than his opponent, a heavyweight legend, either proves he’s still the man or gets completely embarrassed on a world stage – I’m siding with the latter, and the betting odds for a Jake Paul KO don’t look too bad either.
