Are Thirst Traps a Form of Bribery??

I can’t breathe… – Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny has been the center of various celebrity rumors this year, both because of his rocking relationship with Kendall Jenner and his involvement as co-chair for the 2024 Met Gala.

However, this week, he’s making headlines in MLB news. And unfortunately, in the world of sports, not all publicity is good publicity.

On Friday, Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic reported that Rimas Sports, the agency founded by Bad Bunny, could face severe penalties from the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA).

Not long after the initial report, ESPN revealed that the MLBPA had concluded an investigation into Rimas Sports and revoked agent William Arroyo’s license, citing sources who claim multiple agents had complained about bribery from the agency.

According to ESPN, Rimas Sports released the following statement: “At Rimas Sports, we uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity of our industry. Out of respect for an ongoing process within the context of the MLBPA agent regulations, we will refrain from making any comments at this time. We remain committed to continue serving our clients with excellence.”

It appears that Bad Bunny is indeed serving…but not necessarily in the way you’d expect.

On Saturday, just one day after the investigation into Rimas Sports was announced, Bad Bunny posted a mirror selfie in tight underwear and a corset, with a caption in Spanish that translates to “I can’t breathe…”

Bad Bunny’s thirst trap post may seem like a bold move amidst the MLBPA violation accusations, but it could also be interpreted as a way to distract from the negative news. By posting a provocative photo, Bad Bunny is shifting the focus back to himself and his sex appeal rather than the MLB rumors surrounding his agency.

It remains to be seen how this scandal will affect Bad Bunny, Rimas Sports, and MLB games in the long run. But for now, Bad Bunny seems to be showing no signs of slowing down or shying away from controversy.
