IMO, Every MLB Game Should Include a Fight

They put on a better show than just baseball for those watching…

Things are heating up in MLB news following the brawl that broke out during Saturday’s game between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians.

It was the sixth inning when all hell broke loose during Cleveland’s 7-4 win. Jose Ramirez had hit a double off of White Sox ace Michael Kopech and when he slid head-first into second base, his helmet went flying as he collided with Tim Anderson’s groin.

The two exchanged some words as Ramirez stood up and within seconds the two squared off as both teams cleared the benches to back their respective party. Anderson swung and missed. But Ramirez socked Anderson square in the face which knocked him flat to the ground.

The MLB handed them both suspensions on Monday. Anderson will sit for six games while Ramirez will only sit for three games. In case you’ve missed the latest White Sox news, Anderson had been quite the hothead leading up to the game’s outburst, which is likely why the MLB decided to make him sit out a few games longer.

The MLB also gave one-game suspensions to Guardians coach Mike Sarbaugh, pitcher Emmanuel Clase and manager Terry Francona, along with White Sox manager Pedro Grifo for going on with the fight.

Ramirez tried to be the bigger person and actually reached out to Anderson, which ended up being a failed PR stunt since MLB rumors are saying that he’s been “ghosted.”

“I’ve been trying to reach out to him directly and apologize but haven’t received an answer,” Ramirez said, via TMZ. “I want to reiterate apologies for my behavior and as always my goal is to help my team to win and reach the postseason.”

Aside from being suspended, all parties were also fined.

Ramirez and the rest of those involved may “deeply” regret their decisions made in the moment that day but they put on a better show than just baseball for those watching.
