The Bleachers, but ✨A-List✨
Boston born, Boston bred, Boston baseball in his head
MLB Opening Day 2025 kicked off yesterday with stadiums packed, gloves oiled, and glizzies flying at alarming speeds. Baseball is officially back—and while the MLB schedule is just getting started, somewhere, Hollywood’s most devoted fans are jumping for joy and knocking a few back in celebration.
Let’s run down Hollywood’s unofficial starting lineup of MLB superfans.
Emma Stone & Dave McCary
In 2022, Emma Stone and her man showed up to a Padres game and got mercilessly booed. Don’t worry—if anything, that experience just made them bigger fans. Sports fans are impervious to the hate train. She and Dave rolled up to the Padres’ Opening Day game yesterday looking more adorable than ever.

Ben Affleck
Boston born, Boston bred, Boston baseball in his head. Benny’s loyalty to the Red Sox is so strong it survived Gigli, Batman v Superman, and even his divorce(s). He once brought Jennifer Garner to a World Series game just weeks after they split.

No shade, but this man’s commitment to MLB games is clearly stronger than other areas of his life. Love you, Ben—but it’s okay not to get married!
Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds
Look, we know these two are in some hot water right now, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that they love themselves some baseball. They turned a 2021 Yankees game into a couples’ Instagram shoot, obviously.

Blake declared it made her “an official Yankee” after 14 years in NYC, which sounds about right—everyone becomes a Yankees fan eventually (or under duress).
Kim Kardashian
In full Dodgers gear, Kim K threw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium on May 6, 2009, alongside her family.

And listen—we have to give credit where it’s due: the pitch was surprisingly close, and she practiced beforehand with the team. She took it seriously, which is very on brand for Kimmy. She’s as dedicated as they come.

Kate Upton & Justin Verlander
The queen and king of baseball power couples. According to MLB rumors, Kate Upton met her now-husband, pitcher Justin Verlander, while filming an MLB video game commercial. She’s been front row ever since, proving that sometimes love does come with season tickets.

Snoop Dogg
From the White Sox to the Brewers to the hometown Dodgers, Snoop’s thrown more first pitches than some relievers. And as a Long Beach, CA native, you know he’s repping that Dodgers blue, baby. He’s been spotted in LA Dodgers gear so often he might as well be on the roster. Give him a weekly MLB news spot already.

Miles Teller
A proud Phillies fan who can actually throw a ball—Top Gun: Maverick wasn’t all CGI, people. This guy has rolled up to more Philadelphia Phillies opening day games than some MLB WAGs. Back in 2022, he even told NBC he was the Phillies’ good luck charm. We love that.

Tyra Banks
Yes, that Tyra Banks. She threw out the first pitch for the Tigers in 2003, serving face and fastballs. America’s Next Top Pitcher? Sorry, not skinny enough. JK. But seriously, Tyra, we’re still healing from the early-2000s body image trauma you helped create.
Matthew McConaughey
Alright, alright, alright. Matthew McConaughey tossed the first pitch for the Dodgers in 2009. The man is everywhere—Lakers courtside, Dodgers stands, probably running barefoot through the outfield before security spots him.

The MLB season is in full swing, the stands are packed, and the excitement is already at full volume. As baseball teams settle into another 162-game sprint, we’re raising a Dodger Dog to the celebrity superfans who treat the diamond like a red carpet—and still manage to make it look good in pinstripes.
