Just Do It!

Clark is proving the ladies can still get the bag while playing in the W…

Caitlin Clark may not be getting the bag from her Indiana Fever salary, but the latest WNBA news reveals the star is still getting PAID. Clark had an NIL deal with Nike, and now the guard is sticking with the Swoosh for her own signature shoe.

Our favorite NBA plug Shams Charania reported that Clark’s deal is an eight-figure contract “well beyond” $10 million. So yes, we need to get the WNBA salaries up which should happen when the current TV deal expires after the 2025 season.

Yet, Clark is proving the ladies can still get the bag while playing in the W.

Caitlin Clark Turned Down Steph Curry

Another interesting nugget (and who doesn’t love nuggets), Clark actually turned down Steph Curry during the process. Under Armour leaned on Curry during their recruiting pitch, but Clark said thanks, but no thanks.

“[Caitlin Clark] is nearing a multiyear, lucrative 8-figure deal with Nike as her shoe company…Under Armour, Adidas, I’m told also made sizable offers—Stephen Curry was involved in the Under Armour pitch…but she is not signing there, and she will soon be official with Nike,” Charania detailed on Run It Back.

There Are Now 4 WNBA Hoopers With Signature Shoes

As Clark joins the Indiana Fever roster, the star becomes the fourth current WNBA player to have her own signature shoe. Sabrina Ionescu is the most notable and her Sabrina 1s have been a major hit among fans.

Fans interested in copping Clark’s new kicks may have to wait. Sounds like some fans who ordered her jersey will need to wait until August to receive it in the mail.

Caitlin Clark’s stats last season at Iowa were impressive as the guard averaged 31.4 points, 8.9 assists, and 7.4 rebounds during the 2023-24. Time will tell if Clark will be able to come close to this production in the WNBA.

What we do know is that Clark will at least be dripped out her rookie season.
