Queen of Clay
THE QUEEN. – Angel Reese
Coco Gauff is in her victory lap era and she deserves every second of it. She just won the damn French Open (first American to do it in ten years) and for her latest stop, she decided to spend her night at a Liberty vs Sky game.

She sat courtside with Vanessa Bryant and her daughters, which already made it feel like a big night. Then the camera cuts to Coco and the crowd goes nuts. Full standing ovation. Later, she posted on TikTok saying she was surprised people stood for her because “[basketball]’s not my sport.”

Girl be serious. You just won a whole-ass Grand Slam. You’re the first American woman since Serena Williams to win the French Open. You are that girl. And the type of people who go to WNBA games are gonna know exactly who you are. So they’re gonna cheer, loud!

Angel Reese and Coco = Queen Energy
The Liberty blew the Sky out (85–66), but Angel Reese still showed up: 17 points, 11 rebounds, and her 30th career double-double. Fastest to ever do it in the league, btw. Even in a blowout, Angel Reese stats stay important.
After the game, Angel reposted a video to her Instagram with Coco and captioned it “THE QUEEN.” Not a queen. The queen. Like it was obvious. Which it is.

This is my Roman Empire. Coco Gauff courtside. Angel Reese still showing out. Liberty dominating. Just women being stars in front of other women being stars.

Coco said she might pull up to more games and I hope she does. Put her on the payroll. Let her sit front row at every Liberty game until the playoffs. She makes the vibes and WNBA rumors better.
And let’s not act like she’s done either, she’s about to hit Wimbledon in a few weeks and probably make us scream all over again. But for now, we let her cook in New York.
