At this point, it feels like a weird metaphor for golf as a whole: the game of inches…
If you ever catch me standing in my yard, club in hand, trying to hit a golf ball over my house, call the police. But for Bryson DeChambeau? That’s just another Tuesday. The LIV golfer, viral TikTok, and apparent trickshotter have been attempting to sink a hole-in-one over his house for days now, and people can’t stop watching.
Let’s set the scene: Bryson’s house is basically 80% windows—a literal glass house—yet here he is, launching golf balls over it in hopes of landing them in a tiny hole behind his mansion. It’s a bold strategy, Beau. He’s been giving himself progressively more attempts each day, starting with one on Day 1, two on Day 2, and so on. We’re now on Day 11, and I’m invested in it as if it’s the final round of the Masters.

Glass vs. Golf Ball
Honestly, I’d put good money on Bryson accidentally smashing a window before nailing this shot. (Any betting odds on that yet? Asking for a friend.) But credit where it’s due—he’s gotten so close it’s painful. Day 1? Inches away. Day 9? Still heartbreakingly close. At this point, it feels like a weird metaphor for golf as a whole: the game of inches, only with the added risk of shattering a window double the size of my refrigerator.

Copycat Epidemic
While Bryson’s golf news exploits are impressive, what’s even funnier is the swarm of copycats on TikTok. Regular dudes everywhere are out here attempting their own backyard hole-in-one challenges, and newsflash: they are not Bryson DeChambeau. I’ve already seen one guy chip his ball straight through his garage door and another absolutely demolish his own car windshield.

I’m also pretty sure there are a few TikTok spouses drafting strongly worded DMs to Bryson right now, asking him to stop inspiring their husbands to launch golf balls at their homes.
What’s Next?
The Bryson DeChambeau net worth might make replacing a broken window no big deal, but for the rest of us, let’s stick to the driving range. For now, I’ll be refreshing TikTok to see if today’s the day he nails it.
LIV golfers are always finding new ways to stay in the spotlight, but Bryson’s backyard stunts might just take the cake. Or, you know, the glass.
