You women out there, ya’ll petty man… -Charles Barkley

On Wednesday, Lakers star forward LeBron James praised Caitlin Clark’s impact on the league and encouraged her to keep living her dream and ignore the noise.
Speaking Out
Barkley saw what James said and criticized WNBA players for “hating” on Clark when they should be thanking her for getting them charter flights and more money.
“You women out there, ya’ll petty man. Hey LeBron you’re 100 percent right on these girls hating on Caitlin Clark, ya’ll petty girls. I expect men to be petty cause we’re the most insecure group in the world, ya’ll should be thanking that girl for getting ya’lll ass private charters, all the money and visibility she’s bringing to the WNBA,” Barkley said on Wednesday.

Liberty forward Jonquel Jones immediately replied to Barkley.
“Interested to know who are all the women that are hating on CC? I’m seeing a lot of coverage about it but I don’t see the hate? I’m also not a big comment reader so I might’ve missed it.”
Sparks forward Dearica Hamby also fired back at him!
“Seriously…. wtf are you talking about.”
WNBA rumors suggest that Barkley will receive even more backlash from league players and fans over his comments but it’s clear that he doesn’t care!
After Charles Barkley rants about Caitlin Clark haters, Draymond Green says, “They’re gonna hate you even more now.”

Clark’s WNBA Stats This Season
Adjusting to a professional sports league isn’t easy for anyone. Clark hasn’t been as dominant as she was in Iowa, where she changed women’s basketball forever, but her numbers are decent.
Clark is averaging 17.8 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in 31.4 minutes over five games this season. She’s shooting 40.3% from the field and 32.6% from 3-point range. Clark has struggled with ball control. She has 29 turnovers (5.8 turnovers per game), but she’s 15th in the league in points and ninth in assists.
I feel like I’m seeing a lot of talk on the timeline about Caitlin Clark playing really poorly, but she’s 15th in the WNBA in points and 9th in assists?

Clark has now played in five WNBA games but she’s faced the Sun, Liberty, and Storm, three of the best teams and defenses in the league. The expectations are high, Clark set her bar too high but she’s playing better than people think!
