Would You Race Lewis Hamilton If You Saw Him at a Stoplight?

The Mercedes F1 Driver Also Had Quite a Hard Time With the Spicy Wings from ‘Hot Ones’

I’ll smoke this fool. – Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton is the pride of British motorsports and one of the most successful drivers in the history of Formula 1. He can handle the heat of the asphalt, but how does England’s F1 legend handle the spice of a hot wing?

Follow us on Telegram for breaking sports news. 🔥

On the hit YouTube channel First We Feast, host Sean Evans invites celebrities to eat several wings that gradually increase in spice. To answer your question, no, Hamilton cannot handle the heat.

After pushing his chest out and chewing through all the wings, Hamilton got overconfident and reached the hot wing checkered flag by aggressively biting through the final wings… He paid the price, ended up wiping the tears away, and could barely speak in the final five minutes of the video (see below).

However, perhaps even more interesting than the wing challenge is that no matter how many races he wins or Lewis Hamilton’s net worth, people are still willing to challenge him to race at stoplights.

Who Has the Audacity to Race Hamilton?

Imagine challenging Steph Curry to a 3-point contest or Patrick Mahomes to throwing balls at wide receivers. You’d save yourself the embarrassment, right?

Well, apparently, Hamilton’s on-track skills don’t faze the general public because, during his conversation with Sean Evans, the two spoke about people wanting to challenge the race car champion at traffic lights:

“What kind of reaction do you get when somebody pulls up beside you, and they realize it’s Lewis Hamilton?” Evans asked. “Most people are like holy sh*t,” Hamilton replied.

“They don’t rev their engines or anything?” Evans responded. “I’ve had people at traffic lights and want to race. And when I was young, I’d think, ‘I’ll smoke this fool,’” Hamilton said.

So, next time you see Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari pull up, don’t expect him to slam his accelerator to the floor, as it seems his street racing days were left in his younger years.

Hamilton’s Road Road, ‘Speed Up’

In fact, based on the continued conversation during his Hot Ones feature, Hamilton has road rage just like the rest of us, but his lack of speed, not street races, seems to be the issue:

“I’ve had a lot of road rage because when I’m casually driving, I’m cruising. People are usually in a bigger rush than I am,” he said, as he imitated what other drivers might be commenting about his driving, “speed up.”

In conclusion, don’t expect an F1 race in your road car from Hamilton, as you’re more likely to be flipping him the finger for failing to move over into the slow lane on the highway.
