While this is a good starting lineup, I believe he could do better.
It’s no secret that former President Barack Obama is a bit of a basketball savant. He got to watch the Golden Age of basketball in the 80s so he’s been able to see many of the greatest players ever.

[Anthony Edwards] has something that a lot of great players don’t have: Aura.
There might not be a faster-rising star in American sports right now than Anthony Edwards. The former No. 1 pick has been a household name for a few years but his status skyrocketed during the Timberwolves most recent playoff run. (more…)

This just goes to show you how important it is to have a routine…
You don’t play professional basketball until you're 40 unless you’re willing to dedicate a lot of time and effort to your body. That’s exactly why LeBron James is still one of the best basketball players in the world. Much has been made about he he spends over a million dollars on his body every year. (more…)

The leagues are in good hands with players like this leading it forward.
As some like to say, game recognizes game. Toronto’s Scottie Barnes made some NBA news on Wednesday when he took to social media to celebrate his purchase of some basketball jerseys for apparently the first time.

I got to be emo for a day, but I’m low-key emo all the time. - Jimmy Butler
When Jimmy Butler showed up to this year's media day without his iconic emo look, many fans (me) were just a *little* heartbroken. We had all hoped to see another installment of the dark-haired, lip-ring-wearing, emotional enigma that took the internet by storm. But don’t worry, Netflix is here to quench our Emo Jimmy thirst.

I’m glad the young stud is getting the recognition he deserves as a player.
In recent NBA news, Indiana Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton signed a massive, multi-year deal with the sportswear brand Puma. While the details of Tyrese Haliburton’s contract were not disclosed, it’s safe to say that the bright young NBA star got a fat check. Haliburton will be rocking the new “All-Pro NITRO” Puma on the court this season as part of his new deal, and we may see the first custom Haliburton shoe in the near future. (more…)

Kobe Bryant did a hell of a job following MJ’s lead while still carving out his own legacy…
With the NBA news often featuring blockbuster trades, it is hard for one player to spend their entire career with the same franchise. But while the Golden State Warriors’ roster has said goodbye to Klay Thompson this year, Stephen Curry is back for a 16th season, making him the longest-tenured active player with a single team. (more…)

Of course, he’s picking his own team to defeat the reigning champion…
Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker shared his opinions on who will be making NBA news in June by predicting the winner and runner-up in the league championship and the NBA MVP award winner. Duke Dennis, Jake Paul, and former NBA master of disaster Dwight Howard shared their opinions as well on the House of Highlights.

To be able to play with your son is a rare achievement and something we might not see again…
Though we’re still in the preseason, LeBron James is relishing the fact that he gets to play NBA games with his son. For the first time, the two shared a court on Sunday as the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Phoenix Suns.

The colorway honors Kobe Bryant’s legacy both on and off the court…
Halloween is coming up later this month, which means we are close to NBA games, but it also means it is a spooky season, and Nike has not been disappointed with this new Kobe 5 Protro colorway. Kobe Bryant shoes have always been some of my favorites, but these take the cake as the most fire-pair I’ve set my eyes on.

Sources said the Warriors opted to respect the wishes James had made clear… - Ramona Shelburne
LeBron James may go down as the greatest player ever and he’s nearing the end of his career. The one thing he really wanted to do before he retired was play with his son Bronny James. (more…)

I love you babyyyyy. - Bronny James
Alright, folks, the moment we all saw coming has arrived—Bronny James is officially cuffed, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Ever since I spotted him and Parker Whitfield sitting together at the Olympics, looking all cute and cozy, I knew this day was coming. They had that “we’re definitely more than friends” energy, and now it’s official, well, Instagram-official.

For those of a certain age, anyone born after 2000 sounds like a foreign concept to us…
The NBA’s 2024-25 season is only a few weeks away. Pretty soon, we’ll be seeing who can dethrone the Boston Celtics from reaching the NBA Finals, if Luka Doncic has an MVP season in him, if Victor Wembanyama can make the NBA playoffs in Year 2, and of course, locking in our first basket bets every night.
But as we inch closer to 2025, there are some NBA facts about this season that really make you feel old. We’ve highlighted five of them. (more…)

We’re born to stand out, so don’t be afraid to be unique… - Jaylen Brown
I’m not saying I couldn’t survive the Hot Ones gauntlet like Celtics Jaylen Brown, but after watching him do it, I think I’ll stay away from it. Jaylen sat down to tackle some hot wings and dropped some hot takes, with a side of philosophy, of course. But while he’s sweating through wing eight, he’s also breaking down what makes certain NBA legends truly influential—and that’s where things got interesting.

I’ve dreamed of having a home for myself, for my family… - Jimmy Butler
The most unsurprising thing about Jimmy Butler? That he’s got a bespoke mansion in Southern California. Even with all the relentless humor and quirky bits, you can tell the man is classy as hell.

The latest NBA news reveals that team executives are already attempting to spark the debate on who will be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. I thought Montverde’s Cooper Flagg was a lock to be the top selection. Here’s what one NBA exec told ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. (more…)

I think we should all be grateful that we got the opportunity to compete against him… - Butler
In recent NBA news, Derrick Rose announced his retirement from the game after a 16-year career with several teams. But he’ll always be known best for his time with the Chicago Bulls, the team that drafted him No. 1 overall in 2008.

Giannis’ aura is unmatched because he plays like a human cheat code.
Some players in the NBA have skill. Others have swag. And a select few radiate a certain… aura. This is my ranking of the players who, in my totally unbiased opinion, have the most aura in the league right now.

I don’t think you should worry about me, I’m doing pretty well. - Draymond Green
It hasn’t been the most exciting offseason for the Golden State Warriors. After NBA rumors linked them to a number of star players, the only notable addition they made was Buddy Hield and they lost Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks.
