Myself and Giannis are just still trying to figure out how we can be in more actions together. - Dame
Everybody thought that Damian Lillard was going to end up with the Miami Heat in the offseason but the Milwaukee Bucks pulled off a surprise and traded for the star guard in one of the biggest NBA news stories of the year. This paired Lillard with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and so far, the duo is looking sweet. (more…)

[CP3 and Foster] don’t have to be friends but they both have to go out and do their jobs…
Despite numerous NBA officiating scandals, the ongoing drama with refs appears to be flying under the radar. The latest incident involves Scott Foster and his nemesis Chris Paul which the BetUS homie Austin Boyd detailed.
Now, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver broke his silence on the situation by saying absolutely nothing. I’d also like to point out that this Silver interview below looks like an AI version of the NBA commish. We are all living in a simulation anyways, so I digress.

Soft ass boy, stop bitching. Acting like you’re gonna do something. - Ime Udoka
The Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets appear to have a bit of a rivalry brewing. Not only does LeBron James’ villain, Dillon Brooks, call Houston home these days, but head coach Ime Udoka isn’t making many fans in Los Angeles.

I definitely gotta see Bronny’s first college game whenever he’s cleared and ready to go. - LeBron James
One of the scariest college basketball news stories of the year involved Bronny James collapsing during practice with USC when he suffered a cardiac arrest. Fortunately, the 19-year-old made a quick recovery and there’s some exciting news.

Things are looking grim for Detroit basketball…
Let’s just say I’m happy to not be a Detroit Pistons fan. The team hasn’t won a playoff game since 2008 and just lost its 15th consecutive game, which is a franchise record. To make matters worse, the 15th loss in a row came against the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James.

This mofo gets paid billions and he’s still allowed to play with his favorite toy…
Earlier this week we found out Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is exiting his long-standing gig at ABC’s Shark Tank and today we learn he’s selling the majority of his shares, 85% to be exact, in the Dallas Mavericks to the Adelson family for $3.5 billion while still maintaining control of basketball operations.

Unfortunately, it’s not going to be an easy season for Lakers fans…
Oof, that was brutal. Coming off a big win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers had to be feeling good. It’s been an up-and-down season but the team has been playing at a high level in recent weeks.
Welp, they came crashing back down to Earth in a big way. The Lakers got torched by the Philadelphia 76ers 138-94. Considering the 76ers are one of the top title contenders, it’s a brutal loss. It’s one thing if it’s a close Lakers game or they lose by 10 points but they lost by a whopping 44 points.

It's personal. We had a situation some years ago, and it's personal… - CP3
Chris Paul vs. Scott Foster might be the greatest rivalry of the modern NBA but the casual basketball fan might not even know who Scott Foster is. The veteran referee has long been a thorn in the side of CP3.

To be able to accomplish something that’s the first of anything, I think that’s always pretty cool. - LeBron James
We’ve reached the point of LeBron James' career where he’s going to be setting new milestones at a regular rate. Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers star became the highest-scoring player in NBA history.
However, he didn’t retire after that and is showing no signs of slowing down as he’s still playing NBA games. During Tuesday’s Lakers game against the Utah Jazz, LeBron made NBA news by scoring his 39,000th point–the first player in NBA history to reach such a feat.

Brooks ain’t anywhere near the caliber of player that LeBron is…
At this point, LeBron James has done about as much as a pro athlete can do. He’s won MVPs and championships and he’s a billionaire. However, he’s still finding ways to get motivated in NBA games.

If you wanna be the tough guy, get in somebody's face, don’t grab him from behind…
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The NBA news cycle went crazy when a brawl broke out between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves that saw Draymond Green get ejected for putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold.
Yeah, regardless of how much you hate another player you can't really be choking them out in a game before a point has even been scored. Green’s gonna get some time to think about the incident as NBA rumors have revealed that the Warriors big man is getting suspended for five NBA games.

I didn't have a training camp or a preseason, so kind of learning on the fly… - James Harden
Since there aren’t any actual Clippers fans, I don’t think I’ll offend anybody when I say that their demise is absolutely hilarious. For years we’ve had to hear about how great the Clippers are going to be just for them to get banged up and start playing like shit in the playoffs.
They recently added James Harden in hopes that they could finally turn things around but it’s been a disaster so far. The Clippers are 0-5 in NBA games since the James Harden trade and have fallen to 3-7 on the season.

The Lakers are the obvious option…
Over 10 games into the season and it would appear the Chicago Bulls still stink. They are 4-7 in NBA games and the NBA trade rumors are already heating up.
Perhaps the team’s most valuable trade asset is Zach LaVine. He’s averaged over 20 points per game for six straight seasons and is only 28. He could fetch a solid price in a trade and the Bulls are open to listening.

Look, I’m all for a good old-fashioned brawl but this is wild from Green…
Find somebody who loves you as much as Draymond Green hates Rudy Gobert. In case it wasn’t obvious before, there’s no denying now that Green despises the Frenchman. Before a point was even scored in the Warriors game against the Timberwolves, a brawl broke out between the two teams.

Wemby and Holmgreen could be the next LeBron James and Kevin Durant…
We’ve got two aliens playing NBA games right now who have yet to play each other. Just looking at Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama, it’s easy to see the similarities. They are both young 7-footers who have slender frames. Beyond that, they play a similar style of game. (more…)
