A New Side of Ant
I’m excited for everyone to see what we’ve been cooking up. – Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards continues to grow his star power. Last year, he cemented himself as a superstar following an incredible playoff run and he hasn’t missed a beat this year. His popularity got so big that he was asked to be part of the Netflix series Starting 5.
While viewers learned a lot about Edwards in that series, the star guard made NBA news by announcing that he has another docuseries on the way. Year Five is going to have five episodes for YouTube that are going to be 15 to 20 minutes long.

The series will follow Edwards as he plays NBA games from the NBA All-Star Weekend to the NBA Playoffs. We’ll also get an inside look at all the trials and tribulations that a star like Edwards has to deal with during the season.
“I’m excited for everyone to see what we’ve been cooking up,” Edwards said in a statement. “The only way you could feel any closer to the action is if you were playing.”
This may be a bit redundant from the Starting 5 series but it also sounds like it will be a bit more intimate look.
Is the Series Worth a Watch?
The good news for Edwards fans is that the first episode is coming out next week so there won’t be much of a wait. Anthony Edwards’ stats are among the best in the NBA so he’s an exciting subject to follow.

Plus, there’s plenty of drama that follows the Timberwolves roster throughout the season so fans of the team might enjoy that aspect. Edwards is also a pretty dynamic personality. He’s charismatic and outspoken so I doubt the series will be boring.
That said, when the players are essentially producing their own content, it’s unlikely you’ll get to see too much drama as they probably don’t want all that out there. I doubt this will be a distraction or hurt the NBA betting odds for the Timberwolves to win the championship but could be a worthwhile watch for Timberwolves fans.
