Vice City’s Back in Fashion!

There’s only one original and that’s the original ‘Vice’… – Michael McCullough

The latest NBA news reveals that we are so back as the Miami Heat just dropped the news that the “Miami Vice” jerseys have returned. It has been nearly five years since these beauties were featured on the hardwood.

The sick threads come just in time for the ongoing standoff between Jimmy Butler and the Heat front office. Yeah, you might want to wait to buy that Butler jersey as the star is attempting to push his way out of South Beach.

Don’t worry, there are still plenty of other players you can buy. Just maybe wait until those Butler jerseys hit the half-price mark.

Here’s what you need to know about the Heat’s “Miami Vice” look.

The Heat Went Back to the White OG Miami Vice Uniforms

So, the Heat have unveiled two “Miami Vice” looks over the years. There is the all-black look with the pink accents, but the Heat chose to go back to the OG white for the cleanest uniform combo. Miami has four different versions of the “Vice” look.

As the name suggests, the look is inspired by the popular 80s television show named, you guessed it, Miami Vice. With NBA games ahead with the squad rocking the Vice look, Miami took a shot at the imitators.

“We created a monster,” Heat chief marketing officer Michael McCullough told Andscape. “And while there’s a bunch of knockoffs, there’s only one original and that’s the original ‘Vice’.”

Where Will the Heat Trade Jimmy Butler?

The NBA rumors indicate the Heat could soon have a few new players wearing these “Vice” jerseys. Jimmy Butler has requested a trade, and the Heat have suspended the star amid the public spat.

The Grizzlies and Suns are among the teams being mentioned as potential landing spots for Butler. I guess Phoenix is thinking they haven’t underachieved enough with their current cast of washed NBA stars.

Regardless, the NBA odds have the Heat as 1½-point favorites versus the Nuggets in Friday’s matchup. Let’s see if the unis can help Miami amid all the drama.
