GOAT Buzzer Beater? 🚨

“He’s probably going to go down as one of the best finishers ever…” -Jason Kidd

On Sunday, we witnessed one of the most exciting NBA games of the season, and to me, one of the best game-winners I’ve seen in my life! The Dallas Mavericks hosted the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets in a potential playoff preview, and the home team prevailed in a back-and-forth entertaining affair, thanks to Kyrie Irving’s heroics.

Irving stepped up when the Mavericks needed him the most, hitting an unreal floater with his left hand from nearly 21 feet away from the basket at the buzzer to help his team win 107-105, making NBA news headlines in the process.

Irving’s left-handed hook game-winner was over Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic, and the dexterity, awareness, and skillful touch on display were absurd. Irving once again proved that when he’s engaged, he’s a high-level superstar who makes a difference!

Luka, Kidd, and Gafford’s Reactions

Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic reacted to Irving’s shot after the game. “Unbelievable man. I don’t think people realize how tough of a shot that it is. With the off-hand,” Doncic explained. “That guy is special”.

He’s probably going to go down as one of the best finishers ever,Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said after the game. “And just his float game with the right, left it’s just natural and he delivered”.

Irving’s Greatness is Overlooked

What Kyrie Irving did on Sunday was a classic “where were you when it happened” type of basketball moment. It’s been a very long time since the basketball world just stopped so everyone could appreciate true skill.

I still don’t get how Kyrie Irving, a one-time NBA champion and one of the best closers of all time, was not part of the NBA’s Top 75 list. NBA rumors suggested there was some controversy about Irving’s vaccination status back then, but going by eye test and skill, he’s more than deserving. Fellow players agree!

A former Nets teammate recently went as far as to say that Irving is “the most skilled player ever.

I think he’s the most skilled ever to play the game. I think that there’s nothing he can’t do with a basketball,Durant told Dallas Basketball in January. “So, it doesn’t matter what setting it is. He could do the same thing regardless if he’s playing Team USA, NBA, NBA Finals, Playoffs, Streetball, or Rec Ball. He can do it. He can play his game anywhere. That’s just a testament to how great he is and how hard he works”.I agree with Durant, Irving is the most skilled point guard I have ever seen. He’s like Kobe Bryant in a smaller frame. Irving is 6-foot-2 and takes guys in the post, and he’s an elite finisher! His shot-making is unreal! He’s just exciting to watch, not to mention one of the best ball-handlers of all time!

Irving can dribble past anyone in the league, he’s flashy with his dribbles and incredibly efficient! He’s the kind of player you want with the ball when the games are on the line!

Kyrie Irving’s stats this season are spectacular, he’s averaging 25.4 points, 5.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 34.3 minutes over 46 games. The Mavericks may not be in a good position in the NBA standings, but I wouldn’t want to face them in the playoffs if Doncic and Irving are healthy!
