Jimmy Butler’s Only Regret After the Heat Saga? Leaving Behind His Miami Coffee Shop

New Team, New City, Same Jimmy—And Maybe a New Big Face Location?

Bay Area BigFace Incoming? ☕️

I’m just so happy to be playing basketball again… – Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler’s trade saga was an absolute mess, but at least we’re finally on the other side of it. After months of drama, suspensions, and NBA news headlines, Jimmy is officially a Golden State Warrior. And what’s his biggest regret about leaving Miami? Leaving behind the coffee shop he just opened up there two months ago.

BigFace? More like big mistake. Jimmy opened his first brick-and-mortar BigFace location in Miami in December 2024, only to get shipped off to San Francisco right as the NBA trade deadline approached. When asked about any regrets, he kept it real: “Just one. I just opened my coffee shop in Miami, and now I can’t go there anymore. So we have to figure out a way to get one in San Francisco.”

Honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if he already has real estate agents hunting down locations near Chase Center. Because, let’s be real—what Jimmy Butler wants, Jimmy Butler gets (besides a trade to the Phoenix Suns, but you get what I mean). The man went from selling $20 cups of coffee in the NBA bubble to launching a whole brand, and now after all the hard work, he’s got a shop he can’t even visit. Tragic.

Jimmy Is Excited to Be a Warrior

As for the basketball side of things, Butler seems genuinely happy to be moving on and bringing the impressive Jimmy Butler stats to the West Coast. “For me, I’m just so happy to be playing basketball again, honestly,” he said at his Warriors introductory press conference. “But to do it with an organization like this, alongside some incredibly talented guys, I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here, help us win, and do something special.”

He’s definitely relieved to be done with all the suspensions, and hopefully excited to ball with Steph Curry. “The biggest part of agreeing to join the Warriors was simply getting back on the court,” Butler said. “I’m very, very, very happy that I don’t have to worry about suspensions anymore.”

That last bit? Telling. Whatever went down in Miami, it got ugly. But to his credit, Butler took the high road, showing love to the Heat and his former teammates. “I’m good. I don’t have too many bad things to say about them… I have so much respect for that organization.” Respect. You never bash a former employer to your new one and there’s no point in ruining any more NBA games from bitterness.

So, what’s next? BigFace Bay Area? A Warriors deep playoff run? Only time will tell! But until then, take your predictions and check out our NBA betting odds. After last week, sky’s the limit, apparently.
