It’s About F*cking Time!
LeBron and KD are friendly with each other but there’s undoubtedly a bit of an unspoken rivalry…
It may sound like NBA rumors but it’s true, we haven’t seen LeBron James and Kevin Durant play in a game together since 2018. LeBron was barely starting off as a Laker and Durant was still with the Warriors when they faced each other on Christmas Day in 2018. After years of missing out on the two future Hall of Famers, it looks like we might finally be able to see the two on the court together.
The NBA schedule makers finally got the memo that they should have two of the greatest players of the generation play together. The Lakers will be hosting Durant’s Phoenix Suns in their home opener on October 26, per the latest NBA news.

Though it’s just a regular season game, it will be a big deal for Durant and LeBron to play against each other again. Throughout their careers, there has been debate about who is the best player in the NBA. LeBron effectively ended the argument with his recent stretch with the Lakers but Durant is still one of the top players in the NBA.
What makes it even more interesting is that LeBron and Durant finally share a conference. Outside of one season, the two have played in separate conferences. There’s also a bit of a rivalry between the Suns and Lakers which will add even more layers to the matchup. It’s going to be a great game to watch on so many levels. And hey, maybe Rihanna will attend again!

Phoenix has a new-look roster after adding Bradley Beal this offseason. The Lakers decided to run it back after making it to the Western Conference Finals last season. Both will be considered among the favorites in the Western Conference this year and seeing how they match up early in the season will be something to watch. Those that like to bet on basketball games should definitely pay attention.
The head-to-head matchup between LeBron and Durant is pretty close. LeBron has dominated regular season games against Durant with a 15-6 record. However, Durant has had the edge in the playoffs with a 9-5 record. Now, it’s worth noting that eight of Durant’s nine playoff wins came when he was with an absolutely loaded Warriors team. When LeBron faced Durant in the NBA Finals when he was with the Heat, he dominated 4-1.

Regardless, the two are friendly with each other but there’s undoubtedly a bit of an unspoken rivalry. LeBron thinks he’s the best player of the generation and deep down Durant likely thinks he is. The NBA schedule makers did a good job with this one and let’s just hope the basketball gods don’t f*ck us over by causing this matchup to not happen.
