Converse has revealed that SGA will be the new Creative Director of Converse Basketball and will also be getting his own signature shoe in 2025.

SGA has become notable for his sense of style. He’s one of the most fashionable players in the NBA. Converse is going to take advantage of the guard’s keen eye for style.

“The underdog mentality that the brand has and that I’ve had my whole career,” Gilgeous-Alexander of Converse in a statement. “Our stories kind of align with that. We have the same vision for the future of Converse basketball.”

Every NBA superstar needs a signature shoe and SGA is getting one, which cements his status as one of the best emerging stars in the NBA.

SGA Could Win NBA MVP

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s stats have improved every year but this is the first year it has led to a lot of winning. Nobody expected the Thunder to be the No. 1 seed in a loaded Western Conference but SGA was able to make it happen.

While Oklahoma City has some good young players like Chet Holmgren, SGA is the reason they’ve gotten this far. He averaged 30.1 points a game for the Western Conference’s best team. That should definitely put him in the mix to win MVP.

It seems like Nikola Jokic or Luke Doncic will have the best chance at winning the award but there’s no reason that SGA shouldn’t have a real shot. He arguably has the youngest and weakest roster around him out of the three players but he still finished with a better record than the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. It shouldn’t be a big surprise if he ends up winning the award.
