One Can Only Dream of Such Backyard ⚽🏀🏈

Nothing short of what you’d expect from a multi-sport athlete like Sanders…

After reported pressure to join the NFL coaching ranks, it looks like Deion Sanders is in fact staying in the world of college football and coaching the Colorado Buffaloes in 2025, his third season with the team he’s helped turn around.

But when Coach Prime isn’t at the facility, he has practically his own sports complex in his backyard. In a recent video, Sanders showed off his incredible yard at his $4M Colorado mansion, complete with a pool, jacuzzi, basketball court, and of course a mini football field.

Nothing short of what you’d expect from a multi-sport athlete like Sanders, who saw the tweet go viral before adding that it’s old and his current setup is even better.

Deion is no stranger to hyperbole, but I am willing to believe him in this one.

All Eyes on Boulder

While the college football news was reportedly worried that Deion could be swayed to coach the Dallas Cowboys, one of his former teams who had a job opening, he is sticking to his word that he’s all in with the Buffaloes and getting better in the 2025 NCAAF season.

Colorado improved from 4-8 in Sanders’ first season in 2023 to 9-4 and an appearance in the Alamo Bowl in 2024. However, he’s going to need all his recruiting talent to pay off as this season will be a greater challenge now that he no longer has Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, the two-way sensation at corner and wide receiver, nor will Sanders have his son Shedeur at quarterback. Both have high expectations in the 2025 NFL draft.

Sanders even had his son and Hunter with him at Jackson State in 2022, so this is going to be a new experience for him as a CFB head coach. Even the best coaches can struggle to replace a Heisman winner and a quarterback expected to go high in the NFL draft.

That’s why the CFB betting odds are pretty subdued on Colorado’s chances in the 2025 season. They are just +10000 at BetUS to win the national championship, but maybe the more realistic bet is the fact that they’re favored to go over 6.5 wins for the season.

How this 2025 season goes could say a lot about how long Coach Prime will stick with college football before a return to the NFL, especially if he gets a chance to coach Shedeur or Hunter again.

Proud Dad on NFL Draft Night

Regardless of what happens at Colorado, you can bet Sanders will be a proud pop on draft night in April when he sees where his son and Hunter land in the 2025 NFL draft.

In fact, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders could provide some of the most interesting NFL draft betting markets this April. We’ll see if Hunter has any shot at going No. 1 overall, but the main question will be if any team is crazy enough to allow him to play full-time at wide receiver and corner. That could even greatly impact which team decides to take him.

Meanwhile, Sanders is hearing a lot of NFL rumors about his potential from the No. 1 pick to falling to the 20s or even out of the first round. It’s not a deep quarterback draft like 2024 was.
