Don’t Mess With Coach Prime’s Kids
It will be multiple IDIOTS that will say things that totally aren’t true… – Deion Sanders
The Colorado football team played its final game of the season over the weekend, losing 36-14 in the Alamo Bowl against BYU. That will mark the end of successful college football careers for players like Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
These stars for the CU Buffs have been making college football news all year. But they are no strangers to rumors started by people who believe they have inside knowledge on where these CFB stars will be playing NFL games in 2025.
Yes, we are getting close to 2025 NFL mock draft season taking over, which means a lot of misinformation and innuendo. But Colorado coach Deion Sanders, who has already been rumored to coach the Dallas Cowboys, is sounding off about the people who think he has already told NFL teams not to draft his sons Shedeur and Shiloh Sanders or Hunter.
“It will be multiple IDIOTS that will say things that totally aren’t true regarding where I would like [Shedeur] & [Shilo] to play in the NFL. If I say it I will say it directly to whom it may concern not a attention seeker. I do know [Roger Goodell] personally! 🎤drop.”

It would seem that a tweet by a known parody account (@WesSteinberg) made nearly two hours before Sanders’ tweet that said Shedeur won’t play for the Browns or Titans may have got Deion to put the truth out there. Sanders has said he’d tell a team in private if he didn’t want them to draft his players.
With Travis Hunter’s stats as a two-way player, many NFL teams will be interested in drafting him with some even suggesting he could be the No. 1 pick. But the biggest attention will be on Deion’s quarterback son Shedeur, who could be the top quarterback in the 2025 class.
With Deion’s bombastic personality, some are already suggesting he’ll be as protective of his son as Archie Manning was of Eli Manning when the family did not want him playing for the Chargers and orchestrated a draft-day trade with the Giants in 2004.
But could the Giants be on the short end of things here as well?

Quarterback-Needy Teams
The New York Giants hold the No. 4 pick in the draft at the moment, and we know they badly need a quarterback. But it’s also a known fact that this longtime franchise has never had a full-time Black starting quarterback, a fact not lost on fans:

Deion might not want his son to become their first after a decade of dysfunction in New York. A team like Cleveland also may be out just because they are stuck with Deshaun Watson’s terrible contract.
The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 2 pick right now and seem to be over Will Levis for good reason. That could be a spot, but I feel like if you’re being honest with yourself, you’d rather go to the NFC now since most of the elite quarterbacks (Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, etc.) are in the AFC. But the Titans should consider Sanders.
But maybe the best AFC fit would be the Las Vegas Raiders, who currently hold the No. 8 pick. Would Sanders let his son play for a team in a growing, exciting sports market like Vegas where Tom Brady is now a minority owner? Yeah, that checks out for sure.
Just good luck ever getting a division title from Patrick Mahomes. As for an NFC team, New Orleans could replace Derek Carr with Sanders, another solid fit for the family.
