Coming Summer 2025!
NCAA Football 25 was so good because EA had years to work on it.
College football fans rejoice! NCAA Football 25 was not a fluke and won’t be the only college football video game we get for the next decade.
EA Sports was the talk of college football news last year as they were rebooting the long-dormant college football video game franchise. The game ended up being a huge success with many fans thrilled that they finally got to play a video game with college football teams again.

For a long time, it wasn’t exactly clear if EA Games was going to take a Madden approach to the franchise and release a new game every year but fans will be happy to know that there is finally some clarity on the topic.
EA announced that there will be a new CFB video game and it’s coming out this year in the summer.

This shouldn’t be a big surprise considering how successful the reboot was but this does signal that we’re likely getting a new NCAA football game every year going forward.
EA Can’t Turn NCAA Football Into Madden
While it’s exciting for college football fans that they’re likely getting a new video game every year, this also leads to some concerns. NCAA Football 25 was so good because EA had years to work on it. Now they’re going to be churning out new games every year.
It’s hard to innovate with such strict deadlines, which is why Madden has gotten so bad. EA is notorious for cutting corners just to make money so this could be concerning.
For now, the games should at least be playable but they need to make sure that it doesn’t go the way of the Madden franchise. I’m not confident that EA will be able to do that but at least we’ve got one fun, modern NCAA Football video game for the time being.
