Whoops 😬
It can’t feel great to have all those Ohio State players laughing at you, but it is what it is.
The Buckeyes took a break from the Ohio State football schedule to take a trip to the White House. This is a common practice for championship winners.
However, it’s rare for the vice president of the United States to be able to celebrate his alma mater winning a championship. That was the case with Donald Trump’s VP, JD Vance.
Vance got his BA from Ohio State, so it had to be exciting to celebrate his college team. Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan.
The Catastrophe
When the National Championship trophy was brought out, Vance tried to pick it up. The problem is that the top of the trophy and the stand that holds it up aren’t exactly welded together. Vance dropped the stand when he went to pick it up and scrambled awkwardly to pick it up.

This led to the trophy itself almost taking a plunge. Luckily, the man who presented the trophy still had a grip on it and kept it safe.

It can’t feel great to have all those Ohio State players laughing at you, but it is what it is. Maybe Vance will have a chance to redeem himself next year.
Will Ohio State Be Back Next Year?
Ohio State lost a lot of key pieces after the season, like offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, quarterback Will Howard, and running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson. That said, there are always NCAAF rumors about landing stop recruits and transfer portal players.

The Buckeyes are still considered the No. 1 team in the country and are going to be the favorites to win the championship until they lose. Ryan Day finally got over the hump and won his first National Championship and now that the monkey is off his back, perhaps he’ll be able to coach the loser.
Regardless, Ohio State is stacked once again and has a very good chance at being back at the White House this time next year.
