What’s K Dot Dropping First?🎤
Imagine the crowd at the Caesars Superdome screaming “MUSTAARDDD” at the top of their lungs.
It’s always a good day when I get to dive into Kendrick Lamar’s catalog and daydream about what he’s going to drop during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Honestly, can we even call it procrastination if I label it “research”?
With the 2025 Super Bowl coming up fast (wait, seriously, when is the Super Bowl again?), I’m already picturing the Caesars Superdome losing its mind. Let’s talk about the bangers we need on that stage.
One month until the Super Bowl LIX Halftime show. 🔥

Opening Song: TV Off
Listen, I’m calling it here—Kendrick is 100% opening with TV Off from GNX. He arguably wrote this song just for the purpose of it being performed at the Super Bowl and making NFL news. Think about it—Drake and all his haters (aka the celebs who crawled out of the woodwork saying Lil Wayne deserved the Super Bowl spot more than Dot) will be watching, and Kendrick’s basically telling them, “If you’re mad, then turn the TV off.”

Plus, TV Off is already the second-most streamed song on the album, with over 200 million streams. It’s massively popular. Imagine the crowd at the Caesars Superdome screaming “MUSTAARDDD” at the top of their lungs. It would be legendary and would instantly bring the energy up. Sure, the Drake vs. Kendrick beef makes this a little messy, but messy sells, and the Super Bowl loves drama.
HUMBLE.
After addressing the haters, it’s time for HUMBLE. because, duh, it’s one of the most iconic Kendrick Lamar songs. This is the track that’ll have the whole stadium screaming “Sit down, be humble” while aggressively pointing at the screen. It’s a banger through and through, and everyone in the stadium will get hyped and sing along. It would be shocking if this wasn’t included.

Swimming Pools (Drank)
Okay, I don’t care if this is predictable—it’s a classic for a reason. Pretty much anyone who’s ever partied has taken shots while screaming, “Swimming pool full of liquor, then you diiiive in…” Everyone watching the Super Bowl, whether at home or at a Super Bowl party, will be drinking and vibing to this one. It’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Squabble Up
If Kendrick wants to flex his new work, he’ll toss in Squabble Up. Am I biased because I’ve had GNX on repeat since it dropped? Maybe. Do I care? Absolutely not. This track SLAPS, and the halftime show is at least partly about showing off new material. Plus, imagine the choreo potential. Give me lasers, backup dancers, the works.

Closing Song: Not Like Us
Alright, I get it. Not Like Us might be too controversial lyrically for the Super Bowl, which is supposed to be family-friendly. But it would go down in history if he actually played it. Think about it—how many of us spent the summer belting out this song? It’s what everyone wants, but will it happen? It’s hard to say. Still, it’s a strong contender for the last song of the set. BetUS has its odds at +225. One thing’s for sure: if Kendrick played this song, people would go absolutely feral (myself included).

Likely: N95
N95 has emerged as a strong favorite to be the first song played at +200. I can completely understand why—its foreboding intro and instantly arresting lyrics make it a perfect opener. It’s also a good balance: not too old-school Kendrick (good kid, m.A.A.d city), but not so new that only hardcore fans know it. This could edge out TV Off, but either way, we’re in for an unforgettable show. And honestly? Anything K Dot gives us we will be grateful for. The man is a genius.
